Champions Online's Instagram page??

So I just found out this is a thing...

No idea who manages it but... I would love to know who manages it and why they posted things that myself and other players have uploaded (screenshots) and place them on instagram or have taken random screenshots and put them there without saying anything? (at least I didn't hear anything)

I am curious to know if this is an "official" thing or not.

If so, it's a little bit less of an issue but in future it would be nice to be told:

"We like your screenshot/character so we're going to use it for promotion on instagram."

See if you can find yourself, I've found at least 15 screenshots that I've personally taken which have been uploaded to that Instagram page.

I saw two of my characters there.

They were just shots taken while they were hanging around RenCen, which looked like what most of them were.

Apparently @thegrandnagus1 spends, or at least spent, time in RenCen taking shots of costumes/situations he likes for that page.

Screenshots of some of my characters, copied from ones that I took and posted in my costumes thread, are in there.

I don't mind though.

Oooohh...There's one of mine of the guy with the blue scarf and green pistols. That's actually the 1st ever costume of Jericho Bedlam. Using the Really Old Munitions Energy Builder With One Pistol. And wearing a chest armor with wolfhead buttons that went missing and was never saw ever again.
Way back from 2009....

I saw a few screenshots I had taken awhile back and posted on the forum here, since I already posted them here I don't mind that somebody went ahead and posted them there, espically if it was for the purpose of raising awaress of CO across the internet.

That's all well and good, but that's still (in my eyes) something that belongs to me. The owner of that instagram page should have tracked down the owners of those screenshots and got their permission before posting them on Instagram.

To me? Forums are one thing, Instagram is something else.

I am not against raising awareness of CO (obviously), but the owner really should have only used those that he was given permission to use by those who posted on his thread, not just taken them from wherever.

That's my view.

Fair enough, Raven.

Just to be clear though, my comment that I don't mind my screenies being used wasn't some kind of response to your comments. It was just my way of telling the holder of this instagram account that I, personally, don't have any issue with them using *my* images.

Oh, I wasn't directly replying to you, it was more of a general response.

Those who have posted here don't seem to mind that they weren't informed, so I figured I'd say my bit and be done with it
