700 tokens for a bop device is too expensive, especially when there's only a week to get it for a specific character.

You can get 700 tokens in 1 day.

Also you can save tokens. Like 5 of my toons have been repeatedly sitting above 500 tokens waiting for the Blood Aura to come out. I spent a few times to get the new costume unlocks, but quickly refarmed back to 500 within the day.

Not to mention that you can just get it in a couple of your characters, then Upgrade it to unbind it to move it to a character you want.

Plus BoE version will be dropped.

I mean, we are trying to have an economy working here guys. That's the whole purpose of BoP stores, so that the drops are actually worth something. Alternatively, they could remove the stores that sell the BoP versions and simply have it be a drop like Alert Costumes were for so long.

The Throne vehicle being bind on pickup is intentional. Using a upgrade kit will change it to bind on equip.

Takofanes will be able to drop bind on equip versions of the Throne Vehicle and Travel device.

Other existing event vehicles will not see this change and most future event vehicles will remain bind to account.
I completely understand this.. the dev team is preserving the rarity of certain drops. Yet still allowing players who want to get certain drops the ability buy them with coins. We literally are being allowed to have it both ways... and yet people are still complaining.

I supposed they would just rather have the BOE versions that drop based on RNG instead? Thus having only one way to get the drop like most other games do?

However this way, we can still get the drops if our rng luck sucks, while also preventing the market from being flooded. Thus dropping the overall value of the devices.

Has the leg clipping issue for small characters on the throne been addressed? I have a small character for which the throne would be perfect except for that clipping. I am sitting on 700 token for that character and since it is BoP, not BoA, I need to know if it will look right before spending all that currency. If it were BoA it would not be an issue.

In a day? How long did you play for?(hours)
Buffing everything to stupid high levels and nerfing everything to piss poor levels yields the same results, but not the same community reactions.

I forgot to say thanks for the clarification. I just needed to plan ahead for farming. So far it's working out alright.

EDIT - the reason why it's working alright, even though I 100% understand the concerns of my fellow players here, is that even though the cost is high, the opportunities to earn Turak Coins are also higher now with the Takofanes fights. This happened last year when, by doing the Big Fights that were the most fun anyway, I ended up earning more coins than I expected, thankfully spending the extra coins on Auras of that time (Bind-to-Account) ones.

Note that the leg clipping issue for small characters was not fixed for the thrones. Caveat emptor.

:) Perseus, thx for the heads up bro. I've got some friends that specialise in short characters, I'll pass word on.

The new anti-travel power stuff really has made TA Gravitar feel significantly more brutal.

thx, glad I didn't spend my coins on that then.

    Curse

    • Ruptures Deadly Poison stacks on targets for additional damage. If target is poisoned stuns them as well.
    • Advantage: Jinx. Applies Jinxed.
    • Advantage: Needles. Applies Bleeding to targets that are not already bleeding.
    • Advantage: Covet. Applies Restoration.
This "rupture the stacks of X" mechanic seems overused. Why not just have these kinds of powers deal increased damage based on existing stacks of X without consuming them? For balance, they'd have have a small cooldown. This way, a given framework can feel like dots are more than just some crap that gets ramped up, only to be removed, rinse and repeat.

    Crippling Coils

    • New Advantage: Applies Light Everlasting.

    Condemn
    • New Advantage: Fully charging the power spawns a healing rune at your target.
These two seem really...odd for something like infernal. Not saying I dislike them (they're actually kinda cool) they're just not what I'd expect from this particular framework.

    New Archetype: The Witch

    Support

    • Level 1: Infernal Bolts
    • Level 1: Condemn OR Infernal Blast
    • Level 6: Life Essence
    • Level 8: Aura of Arcane Clarity
    • Level 11: Compassion OR Manipulator
    • Level 14: Will-o-the-Wisp
    • Level 17: Grasping Shadows OR Crippling Coils
    • Level 21: Voodoo
    • Level 25: Supernatural Power OR Mephitic
    • Level 30: Curse OR Sigils of Ebon Weakness
    • Level 35: Death's Embrace OR Imbue
    • Level 40: Rebirth OR Resurgence
Note: Power Progression is still being worked on.
1: Condemn vs Infernal Blast: This seems odd, as one is a low-budget single target while the other is an aoe. Why not instead add a new infernal power, a single-target maintain, with a cost & damage value appropriate for a tier 0 power?

8: Aura of Arcane Clarity: This would be a good place to add the choice of another aura--ebon destruction seems the most theme-fitting.

35: Death's Embrace vs Imbue: Of these two, Death's Embrace (as a resurrection ability) seems vastly superior since Imbue is already fairly weak as is. Imbue could use some sort of buff because right now, it tries to be ego surge + nimble mind in a vastly inferior way.

Unrelated, but I can't find the AT anywhere. I assume it isn't actually on the PTS yet? I want to try it out because it looks...rather odd. Not sure what to make of it.
(Hopefully) Useful CO Resources: HeroCreator (character planner), Cosmic Timers/Alert Checklist, Blood Moon Map, Anniversary Cat Map, and more (eventually, anyway).

Bug : Regal Fiend's Knock to Chain attack doesn't knock anymore.
Want to get to know me a bit better, Click me and take a read of My Dragon Profile Page, it's a bit dated but still relevant.

I take this quote from a review that I agree with.

"customisation is so linear; everyone is after the optimal dps:survivability ratio with 0 reliance on other players = autonomous gameplay... Players don't need each other anymore... which in my opinion is a bad thing."
