Thought I would share this here as it's a little hidden away in the forums....

Are you one of the secret heroes Millennium City? Well we want to see you suited up and ready for action! For the next three weeks we’re going to be running a fun costume contest. The rules are pretty simple:
Dress as any of your Heroes from Champions Online
Share your picture in our official thread

One picture of your character in-game
And that’s it! Once the three-week period is up, (last day is November 11th) the devs will come together and decide on our winners, which we’ll announce here on the forum. There’s going to be multiple prizes, so we’ll have multiple goodies to giveaway!

Noting over here like I did over there (because people seemed confused), this is about you, real human being, in a costume, not posting your favorite in-game costumes.

Well, yes, the in-game pic is merely to show that it's a Champions Online character.

Hi Heroes!

Sorry about the confusion! I'll try to clear things up a bit. What we would like for the contest members to share are

1. Picture of yourself as your character. (Also as someone asked in the other thread, if you have the permission to dress up as another player's character, you may do that as well.)
2. A picture/screenshot of the actual in-game character.

Seems like a weird contest considering there are so many impractical outfits that would be time consuming, difficult, impossible, and/or expensive to recreate in the real world.

The last time I remember a Halloween costume contest was when Tiyshen was around and it was just a dress up your character in a costume judged in RenCen.

Create what you can in real life, maybe make alterations in game?

no problem, I'll do Felicity's costume. she wears jeans and a tshirt. The only problem being the sight of me in jeans and a tshirt.... I think I'll pass.

I have no intention of making a costume in real life to enter a contest. I was pointing out a flaw in the contest that is going to severely limit participation. That and what Chaelk pointed out: not a whole lot of people want to take pictures of their real selves for reasons.
