Shadow of Destruction
We've launched our newest piece of content! Talk with UNTIL Liaison Bradly to learn more about the trouble brewing in the Qliphothic Warzone!
Must be level 40 to enter, this new zone introduces a bunch of new missions for players to earn SCR and Hermes Requisition (and a little bit of GCR)! Most missions become repeatable dailies after completion. There are also 4 open missions to challenge players!


Hermes Requisition
  • This new currency can be used to purchase consumable items that will aid you in the Qliphothic Warzone such as the Hermes Supply Crate which will allow players to set up spawn points around the zone temporarily.



Portal Breaker, Worm Wrecker, Assault the Battery open missions
  • Grants players SCR and questionite upon completion. This amount will diminish after 3 runs and will reset after 20 hours.
  • Note: We will be increasing the amount of times you can run these oms before hitting diminishing rewards in the next patch.
  • Grants players random r4~5 mods or r3 unique mods.
  • Grants players Hermes requisition.
  • Can all drop the following items: Qliphothic Gear. This gear is roughly on par with Mercenary gear.


Slug
  • Uses a variety of abilities that turn allies against one another!
  • Can drop the following rare items: Psionic auras, Slug Action Figure.

Oubliette
  • Darts around the battlefield and can consume the life essence of heroes! Blots the combat area with deadly dark voids!
  • Can drop the following rare items: Dark Speed, Dark Essence Aura, Oubliette Af.

Portal Guardian
  • Can create dark crystals that heal him and disrupt players unless destroyed in time!
  • Can drop the following rare items: Crystal Aura, Portal Guardian AF.



Shadowfall open mission
  • Eidolon of Destruction is our most daunting Cosmic yet!
  • This open mission can only be accessed if all 3 other open missions are on a successful cooldown. Meaning they all need to be completed roughly around the same time.
  • Grants players GCR, SCR and Hermes requisition upon completion. This amount will diminish after 3 runs and will reset after 20 hours. This is on a different diminishing scale from other cosmics.
  • Grants players questionite upon completion. This amount will diminish after 3 rubs and is linked to the same table as the other cosmics. Will reset after 20 hours.
  • Can drop the following rare items: Shadow Destroyer's Helmet, Chestwear, Shoulder Cape, Gloves, Hipwear costumes. Sacred Crown Aura, Ediolon of Destruction AF. Cosmic secondaries.





ZEN Store
  • Players must now be at least level 10 to purchase any keys or key packs from the store.
  • Retired the Havoc Pack.
  • Draysha Supercharge device is now in the Collector's store.
  • Ripper's Rage mod is now in the GCR store.
  • New Key Pack: Sorcerer Pack. This pack includes the Primary Offense and Secondary Offense pieces of Sorcerer's Might Heirloom gear. Like Aurum Gear, the other pieces can be found in the Questionite and Drifter Store.
  • Reorganized the costume section so that costumes that unlock when you're gold and perk related costumes are on their own tab.
  • Added Anapa temp sidekick to the store.



Arcane Lockbox
  • We've introduced our new lockbox! Visit Anapa in Rencen to learn more!
  • The following can be found in the Arcane lockbox:
  • Costumes: Arcane Mage, Spinal Glow, Anubis, Tiki Club, Trident.
  • Note: There is a bug where the Spinal Glow costume is currently not unlocking account wide, this will be retroactively fixed next patch.
  • Powers: Crashing Incantation Ultimate, Arcane Flight.
  • Devices: Arcane Flight Travel, Anapa Loyal Sidekick.
  • Auras: Will-O'-The-Wisp, Candle, Sacred, Floating Orbs, Floating Translucent Orbs.




Vendors
  • Drifter will no longer sell Justice Gear. This gear can now be found in the GCR vendor.
  • Added Spirit Crystals aura to the Drifter.
  • Added the following costumes to the GCR vendor: Shadow Destroyer's Cape Shoulders, Chestwear, Gloves, Helmet and Hipwear.
  • Added the following devices to the GCR vendor: Shattering Rain, Manifest Mind Worms, Elder Worm Crystal Eruption, Qliphthic Warzone Transport, Devouring Shadows.
  • Added the following powers to the GCR vendor: Shadow Eruption, Mind Drain.
  • Added the following Auras to the GCR vendor: Sacred Crown, Rock Crystals, Dark Essence, Psionic Auras.
  • Added the following gear to the GCR vendor: Virtuous. This gear is on par with Justice/Distinguished and is more oriented towards heler types.
  • Added the following mods to the GCR vendor: Darkness Consumption, Paranormal Perfection, Shadow Destroyer's Contempt, Confront.
  • Added the following action figures to the GCR vendor: Eidolon of Destruction, Oubliette, Slug, Portal Guardian.



Costume Changes
  • Moved Bunny (headwear), Cat ears (headwear), bat (side accessories), dragon (side accessories) and krampus (side accessories) to the new Ear selection.
  • Split Belt Accessories into Left and Right versions. Currently the Holoforce and Back Arrow costumes are only on the right side.




UI Changes
  • Added Slotted Passive and Toggle Form categories to the power window.
  • Merged the Sorcery powertrees into one tree.
  • Added visual timers to buffs and debuffs on the HUD.

Tempest
  • Now has Storm Summoner in place of Invocation of Storm Calling.




Device Changes
  • Reduced Radion's Revenge to 60 seconds (from 180). Radions Revenge now applies Burn Through instead of a generic particle resistance debuff.
  • Changed Archer's memory to deal magic damage to match the fx.
  • Reduced Revenancy's cooldown to 90 seconds (from 180)
  • Reduced Supernatural Possession's Cooldown to 120 seconds (from 180)
  • Reduced Hacked Orbital Cannon Codes to 60 seconds (from 180). Now applies Plasma Burn and affects targets in a small sphere.
  • Coward's Lament can be used without a target now. No longer has a charge time. Increased activation time to 1 second (from 0.67). Reduced cooldown to 30 seconds (from 180).
  • Eroded Shard is now clearly labeled as a toggle. Now applies repel resistance to repelled foes. If fully maintained, now blasts nearby targets. Reduced cooldown to 60 seconds (from 180)



Cosmics
  • If drawn too far away from Kigatilik, his hounds will gain a immunity to crowd control.
  • Teleiosaurus's damage check buff now displays a visual timer instead of getting stuck at 0:01.
  • Increased the frequency of the meteors Qwyjibo summons.




Misc
  • Updated tooltips for Justice, Distinguished and Virtuous.
  • Added new icons to Distinguished gear.
  • Eidolon of Destruction has been added to the Cosmic Beatdown daily.
  • Increased Cosmic Beatdown rewards.

    Power Changes
    Players who owned the following powers will receive a respec: Eldritch Blast, Skarn's Bane, Palliate, Conduit, Expulse, Pyromancer's Blades, Invocation of Storm Calling, Sigils of Primal Runes, Sigils of Primal Runes, Vala's Light, Pillar of Poz.
    Note: Because we merged the Sorcery trees some players may have forced respecs or may have had some of their powers removed entirely.
    • Went through Sorcery/Celestial/Infernal and made mention of the groups their various buffs and debuffs belong to.
    • Made a change to how aura of radiant protection applies its effects when there are two players with the aura in a team. This should address the issue where players with aorp are taking unusually high damage while blocking.
    • Fixed a bug where r2 and r3 of Conflagration wasn't gaining bonus from Qwyjibo's fury mod.
    • Fixed a bug where Thrash and Hyper Voice dropped power effects after a maintain.
    • Fixed a bug where Bite and Infernal Blast's poison spread advantages didn't work for all poisons.
    • Single target threat wipes now have a range of 100ft.



    New Weapon selection: Symbols
    • Currently owning Soul Beam, Soul Barrage, Arcane Flight or Crashing Incantation will let you pick different symbols in the tailor. The selection is currently very limited, but more will come in the future.



    New Effect: Mystified
    • Decreases the cost of Sorcery, Celestial, Darkness and Infernal powers briefly. Stacks up to 3 times.


    New Effect: Jinxed
    • Reduces damage and snares enemies briefly. When this effect expires enemies are knocked down.


    New Effect: Overpower
    • Reduces damage resistance on a target by 20% all damage for 12 seconds.


    New Power: Crashing Incantation
    • Ultimate
    • Deals heavy magic damage in a sphere around your target.
    • Applies Jinxed and Overpower debuffs.


    New Power: Conjuring
    • Grants the user energy whenever they apply a Curse to a target.
    • Scales off of Int and Rec.


    New Power: Shadow Eruption
    • Known Issue: This power cannot currently be viewed in the power selection. This will be fixed next patch. If you have already purchased this power it will be visible when we fix its visibility.
    • PBAoE Dimensional damage and knocks back foes.
    • Advantage: Blot. Stuns targets.
    • Advantage: Work Up: Applies restoration to yourself.
    • Advantage: Drag Back: Knocks enemies towards you instead of away.
    • Advantage: Envelope in Shadows: Reduces dimensional resistance on full charge.
    • Advantage: Consume Fear: Deals additional damage for each stack of fear consumed on targets.



    New Power: Mind Drain
    • Similar to Lifedrain this power deals damage and restores your health.
    • Advantage: Deplete. Makes the power heal nearby allies.



    New Power: Enchanter
    • Passive
    • Increases Magic, Dimensional and Toxic damage.
    • Gives Magic, Dimensional and Toxic resistance.



    New Power: Magician's Dust
    • Placate and Threat Wipe.



    New Power: Spellcaster
    • Form
    • Applies a stack of Ensorcelled whenever you apply a Curse or a Enchantment.
    • Like other forms, this form cannot be used with other form buffs.
    • Scales off of intelligence.



    New Power: Banish
    • Paralyzes target.



    New Power: Soul Beam
    • Single target magic damage.
    • Gains additional damage if your target is affected by a Curse and if you are affected by an Enchantment.



    New Power: Star Barrage
    • Ranged AoE damage. Has a chance to apply Illuminated to targets.
    • Advantage: Light Everlasting. If fully maintained applies a heal over time to allies nearby your target.
    • Advantage: Mystical. Chance to paply Mystified to you.




    Skarn's Bane
    • Moved Skarn's Bane to tier 2.
    • Damage changed to flat rate from escalating.
    • Removed Bane effect.
    • Applies Hexed after a full maintain.
    • New Advantage: Chaos Magic. Chance to apply Bane every hit.
    • New Advantage: Mystical. Gives a chance to apply Mystified to you.



    Planar Fracture
    • Fixed a bug where Planar Fracture's damage was being calculated as if it had a 0.5 tick rate (it uses a 1 second rate).
    • Fixed a bug where Planar Fracture was using the wrong activation time. It is now 0.67 seconds (from 0.5)
    • Duration increased to 16 seconds.
    • Cost and damage adjusted for new duration.



    Dragon's Wrath
    • Fixed a bug where tapping (not charging) Dragon's Wrath caused it to have a 7ft range instead of the usual 10ft.
    • Dragon's Wrath can no longer cut through Cosmic heavy damage resistance periods (like the resistance bonus Teleiosaurus gets if a damage check fails).



    Sigils
    • Increased Sigil HP.
    • Added Inner Peace advantage to sigils.



    Sigils of Primal Runes
    • Renamed to Sigils of Destruction
    • Changed to deal magic damage.



    New Power: Storm Sigils
    • Electricity version.



    Sigil of Arcane Runes
    • Changed to magic damage.


    New Power: Living Fire
    • Fire version of Arcane Runes.



    Vala's Light
    • Increased radius on Vala's Light to 25ft
    • Slightly increased heal amount.
    • Increased the heal over time on the advantage.
    • Added a 3 second cooldown to the power to prevent it from being spammable.
    • Reduced the charge time.
    • Increased cost to account for changes.



    Pillar of Poz
    • Increased cooldown to 10 seconds.
    • Moved the knock on this power to an advantage.
    • Reduced damage.
    • When used this power now leaves behind a 15' symbol for 10 seconds that heals allies within it.
    • New Advantage: Immense Power. Knocks targets back.
    • New Advantage: Dilemma. Applies Jinxed to targets.
    • New Advantage: Contempt. Applies/Refreshes Furious on you.
    • New Advantage: Mystical. Gives Pillar of Poz a chance to apply Mystified to you.



    Illumination
    • Changed the Illumination buff and debuff to be a flat effect instead of gaining bonuses through ranks.
    • Illumination buff is now classed as an Enchantment, while the debuff is considered a Curse.
    • Illumination now has a duration of 20 seconds.
    • The Illumination power is now innately an area effect and directly heals allies a small amount.
    • The Illumination power now has a cooldown of 5 seconds.
    • The Brilliance advantage now applies Detect to friendly targets, increasing their perception briefly.




    Eldritch Blast
    • Removed root.
    • Can now apply Mystified, which reduces the cost of Sorcery, Infernal, Darkness and Celestial powers briefly.
    • Sorceror's Whim advantage: No longer adds bonus damage. Now applies a root instead.
    • New Advantage: Chant. Refreshes the duration of Hexed on the target.
    • New Advantage: Blinding Light. Fully charging the power applies Illumination on you and nearby allies.



    Pyromancer's Blades
    • Renamed to Warlock's Blades
    • Now deals Magic damage.
    • New costume to match theme.



    New Power: Pyromancer's Blades
    • Same as Warlock's blades, just fire typed.



    Invocation of Storm Calling
    • Changed to magic damage.
    • Adjusted cost for new effects.
    • Now deals damage while maintaining.
    • Removed repel effect.
    • If fully maintained applies Jinxed.
    • New Advantage: Strong Winds. Repels targets away from you.
    • New Advantage: Electrify. Chance to appy Negative Ions.
    • New Advantage: Light up the Sky. Applies Illuminated to targets on full maintain.
    • New Advantage: Mystical. Gives a chance to apply Mystified to you.



    New Power: Storm Summoner
    • Electricity version of Invocation of Storm Calling.
    • Can apply negative ions.



    Arcane Vitality
    • New Advantage: Mystical. Gives a chance to apply Mystified to you.



    Palliate
    • Absolve Advantage: Threat wipe will only work on yourself now and cannot be used on other players.
    • Threat wipe has a 50ft radius and can affect up to 5 targets.
    • This effect will work even if you use the heal on another target.
    • Puts all other threat wipes on cooldown.



    Hex of Suffering
    • Increased cooldown to 15 seconds (from 12)
    • Increased duration to 16 seconds (from 6).
    • Damage and cost adjusted for new duration.



    Expulse
    • Moved knockback to an advantage.
    • Similar to Pillar of Poz, now leave behinds a healing rune.
    • This rune cannot be stacked with other runes.
    • Reduced damage slightly.
    • Recalculated its cost for its new effect.



    Celestial Conduit
    • Changed the pulse time of this power to 0.5 seconds.
    • Fixed a bug where its cost was being calculated as if the power was a cone.
    • Recalculated its cost/damage for its new pulse time. The output should remain about the same.



    Gravity Driver
    • Gravity Driver now applies the Overpower debuff in place of its unnamed resistance debuff (numbers are unchanged, this was done to cap the number of these debuffs that can be on a target at once).

    That would be a bug, we'll have it addressed next patch. If you already unlocked it the fix will unlock it for all of your characters.​​

    I really am perplexed as to why it was decided that Pillar and Expulse which have typically fit into the class of abilities I call: "Get the F Off me!" who's sole purpose is to give you some breathing room have had that main function placed as an advantage and had their damaged nerfed?

    Illumination does not appear to be counting as a Curse, even though the description says it should be when targeting an enemy. Its not triggering Conjuring. Rebuke wasn't changed this Patch, but its a Blast, and it lacks the Challenge! Advantage, while it does have the break through Advantage.

    Also:

    BUG
    Eidolon sometimes summons Green Orbs just before Healing Orb phase. If the Green Orb detonates within reach of the Healing Orbs, it will take them out. Had this happen on today's attempt during last bar, which made my job ever so easy having to CC only 1 orb instead of 3.

    SUGGESTION
    Healing Orb phase seems like a huge breather. With the exception of the CCer, the rest of the players just have to stop doing anything, or start rezzing/healing. Healing Phase should have a DoT on every player like the one Nemcon has. CCer focuses on CCing the orbs, while Healers and DPS focus on surviving.

    BUG:Conjuring is using the wrong icon in the potrait once it get triggered, instead it use the bestial bleed icon (Wild Things)[/b]

    None of my characters with Palliate got retcon

    and the smokebomb animation for the ADV ruins the power mystic theme, WTF why!? couldn't you get a better animation?​​

    BUG: Star Barrage's Mystified ADV DOESNT apply Mystified at all


    Overall really nice stuff for the Sorcery powerframe
    Pillar of Poz's utility became AWESOME along with the circle visuals (also thematic self heal, i see myself replacing conviction)
    Crashing Incantation animation and visuals alone are masterpiece,

    Banish NOT getting Curse adv make it worthless >_> pretty visuals

    BUG: Not only does Illuminated Debuff not count as a Curse, Illuminated also does not allow Celestial Conduit to chain anymore. Illuminated Buff, however, does still count as an enchantment. It also doesn't seem to chain properly if targetting an ally, but does seem to do fine targetting self/not having a target.

    New zone stuff:

    Please tell me Hermes Tokens are going to be able to buy something useful in the future instead of a bunch of consumables.

    Annihilator Bots sometimes bump up to 100k HP after the fight starts and then don't even have the decency to give credit for killing them.

    A big-**** box and you get one egg from it? I finished the other two worm quests before getting enough eggs. Another annoying thing is you can't claim eggs from the boxes more than once. I probably killed 50 families of Elder Worms just to steal their babies.

    It'd be super if there was a PoHo in the warzone. It'd also be super if a level 40 zone that isn't exactly solo friendly didn't have crappy green drops. The third thing that would be super is to have open raids like Warhammer: Age of Reckoning and Rift do. Part of that is to have a button to join said open raid when you are in range of one or bring up a list with all of the open raids. Also the ability to join on someone by a handy command like "/join <raid leader name>".

    Is there something wrong with trying to shut down the portals? I gave up trying to get keys. Mostly due to being so annoyed having to ethnic cleans all of robots just to get my 6 lousy Annihilator Bot kills. How about killing an engineer drops a key 100% of the time?

    Inquiring minds want to know (from last week's patch notes):

    "How retroactive is the First Time Buyer stuff? I've bought more than 500z just in FF slot sales last year, but have none of that stuff. Also: Does it matter how the zen is purchased? Do Steam Wallet and Questionite to Zen count? I've picked up two ATs on sale just from converting Q. Does it have to be all at once? Or can someone buy several different things over time until it adds up to 500z or more?"

    And yes, I looked in my bonus tab. No, it's not there.

    Moving the firing point of Soul Beam doesn't change where the beam comes from, just the pose. For instance, selecting the Head for its firing point has the character lean forward with his arms out at his sides as if the beam would come from his head, but it still comes from his left hand.

    My only 2 complaints is that the portal shutdown or whatever with the West/East/Central has a way too long cooldown time if someone else use it before you and/or it not team friendly. The other is the Annihilator Bot not giving credit/has 100k health. Otherwise, this is an okay update and it did answer to some of the SCR problem and what have you.

    Any chance we can get the old effect timers back? I mean the ones that indicated the amount of time passed by an increasing amount of shading sweeping around the box like a hand on a clock. The new timers with the tiny font are incredibly hard to read, especially in the middle of combat.

    Hmm.. How is that possible when you still need 2 tokens for each piece along with SCR/GCR. I dont have any Justice Gear and I don't play rampages; I'm waiting for the token requirements to disappear for good. Hopefully the devs will revisit and revamp the rampages so they will give rewards that are *useful* (SCR/GCR for example) and that drop in a more consistant manner.

    Tho honestly I recently actually looked at what the new J Gear prices are and it's the first time I've actually considered getting J-Gear since the time long long ago that I got a set for Kagami. The reduced token requirements are fantastic, especially the fact that 50% of the tokens you need come from the one rampage I actually like!

    Also I saw people forming LI groups today so... yeah, I think they might still be going for J-Gear.

    First of all let me say thank you. Awesome stuff.
    Here are a few things I'd like to address that might help:

    1. Illuminate doesn't always function as a curse and it does not chain Conduit at all.
    2. Rebuke is missing "Challenge!". While it has Breakthrough after the taunt changes like all blasts do.
    3. Enchanter is underperforming: it offers less overall benefits than Shadow Form and Seraphim, including damage bonus apparently. Could it get a 5/10/15% chance as per rank to apply random Curse and Enchantment when the caster deals the appropriate damage types?
    4. Eldritch Bolt still has a chance to Root the target instead of applying Hexed, and completely missing the "apply hexed on every hit" 2pt advantage that every other energy builder does with the respective effect stack in other ability trees. It would also be nice if it could apply an enchantment as well for additional advantage points spent the way other energy builders offer similar utilities.
    5. Skarn's bane is the only way to apply Hexed currently, and its cost is way too high for its current tier, while it does not necessarily apply Hexed even after the very long and energy-consuming sequence.
    6. Spellcaster only works off of Intelligence while Concentration works with EGO or INT and Compassion with REC or PRE. Could it work off of INT or REC as well?
    7. Could Conjuring feed off of both Curses and Enchantments? This way it could be a great EU for Healers who use Illuminate as well.
    8. The healing on Sorcery powers seems to scale very badly. I have tested them with a PRE-based character and the value barely budged.

    Takeaway message: do not touch my mystics (Celestial healer, and petmaster/healer) until at least Tuesday when bugs get cleaned up.

    Hopefully.

    Main char (Seschat, lightning DPS) uses her respec to re-electrify Storm Calling and Primal Sigils. My melee TK is overjoyed: Pyromancers Blades now gets boosted by her passive.

    Perhaps Spellcaster could scale off INT and PRE?

    Skarn's Bane is now horribly bugged. First and foremost it is NOT proccing stacks of Concentration, at all. This is a definite problem.

    Second, it is not reliably proccing the Hexed curse on a full maintain, as the tooltip states. The Hexed is happening only sporadically if at all.

    Finally, the costs of just getting Skarn's Bane back to doing what it used to automatically do (i.e. apply debuffs) via having to buy the new Chaos Magic advantage, plus adding a much-needed Root via Warlock's Malice (to benefit from Trapped or Torment specs, etc) means we pretty much can't rise above Rank 1 on a power that was the main attack and damage dealer. Something has to give here.

    I'm parking my Magic character in the Powerhouse til this is addressed.

    So I see nothing here about Aura of Primal Majesty but it was removed from my character I'm forced to recon. Why you forcing me to recon again?

    Both the new Storm Summoner and Invocation of Storm Calling have lost the aspect that *I* used the power for: the debuff to Energy Resistance. At this point, it no longer has a real place in my build, given the performance of Lightning Storm.

    And frankly, I preferred the old Warlock's Blades skin to this goofy one. Unfortunately, the new damage type is actually boosted by ID mastery, so I'm stuck.

    Devs, could you find it in your heart to allow Warlock and Pyromancer's Blades to be edited in the Costume Creator?​​

    It got moved to a new tree.
    But they didn't change anything, there was no recon necessary as it works exactly as it did before.

    it's just the way the game's designed - it triggers an auto-retcon if a power changes tiers or changes from one tree to another; it's not something that can be prevented​​

    ^ Pretty much this. This is why when Two Gun Mojo was heavily adjusted, it simply vanished because the version players had picked up no longer existed and appeared in a different tier.

    I'm sorry, but what builds would have been made invalid? It's not being made a higher rank, it's not switching to a different power tree, what's happened is a bunch of power trees have been moved into one. It should be EASIER to get not harder. Find me a build that this would make invalid, I'll wait.

    I am going to have to retcon something like 20 toons with AoPM as their passive.

    I got 10 pages of heroes to sift though now. I have at least 8 that I can think of off the top of my head, including two of my mains

    Lots of retcons.. it's a bit difficult to decide which way to take my sorcery toons now. I'm just going to wait until next week to retcon the (after any patches are uploaded onto the live server) since there issues with how some of the powers are working.

    OMG, it's far worse then I thought, it's every sorcery passive. I have close to 30 characters that I need to rebuild . . . can't just retake the one power that's been removed, nope that would be only slightly inconvenient, this needs to be a chore or a punishment.

    Let me just say to the Devs: I'm glad when you make major changes to our powers you give us a free recon, that's a good thing, but what I f*&king hate is forcing me to redo everything because you moved the powers horizontally in the tree.

    Spending 7 Hours inside powerhouse retconning multiple characters is the worst thing ever, instead of actually playing the game with them​​
