Send in the clowns....Help with a clown costume

Hi folks,

I've had the concept of a female clown running around my head for a very long time. Trouble is I'm having trouble coming up with a costume I like.
I'm more into golden/silver age costumes than anything else.
So if anyone has any ideas, suggestions. I would greatly appreciate it. I have most costume sets.

Basically I have not settled on the power set yet. I figured that after I got the costume it would all come to me. So anything goes as far as that goes. The look on the other hand.....Something harlequin inspired not Harley Quinn if that makes sense. Basically if you were a female hero in the 1940's that used a clown inspired gimmick.

you could start by using the Maniacs costume parts. Those are kinda Joker themed... kinda..

For a 1940s clown you'd want something more Harlequin-themed (the clown style, not the character). The jester's cap, for instance, might not be a bad starting place, and we have a number of clown-themed costume parts. Try making the feet much, much larger than they should be, with red shoes, and don't forget the clown nose (glowing, if you have it, and if not, let me know, I might have one knocking around somewhere). Oh, and I haven't used it yet, so can't be sure, but the Ultra Mega Bow Tie from this last event might be a nice addition.

As for powersets, might I suggest using a Single Blade or Dual Blade set, with the Trout as a weapon skin? Slapping people with fish is a classic gag...

I'll have a little play around in the tailor, mate.

Let me take a whack at it.

I couldn't find a sufficiently silly jacket or pair of pants, so I did them both in the “not Harley Quinn, we swear” tights.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. After consideration, I'm leaning more towards jester than clown. I'm liking that black, red and white jester pattern Maatmons. I had tried it on on of my attempts but didn't use three colors or the skirt. So, thanks for that idea.
