I can't build for anything! Help me.

Hey everyone, I'm in need of a little build assistance (Or a lot, I could have really done a doosie on this one)!

So I tried building a thematic build using dual pistols and magick, but I found that difficult to mix the two power sets to make something actually viable. I decided, in order to be an effective ranged damage dealer, to just use munition dual pistol powers with some self healing and what not.

Currently, I'd like to know if I'm on the right track or not. The ultimate goal is to be an effective ranged DPS role in PVE content. I've noticed I'm having some energy troubles, so any help would be great! I borrowed one of Flowcyto's old dual pistol builds for spec trees and such.

I did end up trying MSA over Killer Instinct since I do have a lot of cooldowns, but I was having even more energy problems with that energy unlock and decided to go back.

    TGM's newer energy cost and higher tier placement are going to upset that old build of mine. And that was prob also made before Targeting Comp was fixed. To make energy management easy, I'd just consider an AoPM + Hybrid build.

    Tried to make the Sorcery part a bit more prominent, as its easy for the dual pistol stuff to overshadow it from a practical standpoint. Theme will be the main reason to take this over a traditional TGM dps build, so it'll just come down to how devoted to the concept you are.

    Wonderful! Now if I did just want to stick with the dual pistols and not mix anything from the arcane/magick tree, would I still remove Quarry for AoPM?

    You can use Quarry + ranged dps role for either route, but AoPM just makes the energy situation much easier, esp if ur gear isn't great yet. For the Quarry + Int + MSA setup to work, you'd want at least 400 int or so, and still have some cost discount on gear. Similar case if going w/ Ego + KI + Targeting Computer instead, 400+ Ego.

    Even w/ the changes, Muni is a tightly-knit powerset, so it leaves the last 3 power slots open.

    Something that really helps my 2GM gun mage (besides the 400Ego) if you don't want to use TC is to have Imbue and Ego Surge (w/ NM). They both boost your crit chance which helps Killer Instinct keep you topped up.
