Remembering a Fallen Hero

The original post in this thread contained misinformation due to confusion or misinformation spread. However, it can be assumed this was not done maliciously. I have been told that although the original information posted is incorrect, the condition of our friend Old Glory is not well and we ask that people keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I am also told he is grateful that you all were concerned and thinking of him.

I have flagged this thread for deletion as I think it is inappropriate and I do not wish to be insensitive to people.

    That's terrible news. He's one of the few people In CO in which I really got to know, respected a lot and considered a competitive rival when it came to dueling. I'm going to miss him a lot

    Damn, that's sad to hear. I spoke to him many times and he was always friendly, helpful and a true gentleman.

    @Pariba, I heard it when i logged on this morning. about 13hrs ago, It was the first comment on.
    Vixy had told the other people on,
    Old Glory, had only told a few people, so they wouldn't feel sorry for him .Just like Angelofcaine, who told people he was moving house, when he went for treatment.

    I was wondering why he hadn't been on much lately.
    Another nice, helpful person, flying with the angels.
    I will miss him.

    who is Vixy? and how did he find this out?
    Glory told the entirety of Patriot Act and most of his friends online. We knew he was ill. We knew all along. He chose not to publicly advertise it -understandably so- he didn't want to worry people. You will forgive my skepticism but I don't count people dead until I see their death certificate. :)

    the other people I can remember on at the time, is Luke @alont and @rabidsquaw.There were 2 others but I can't remember their handles from 2 days ago. It was 4.30am for me. They were talking about it when I logged on.

    I'm with Par on this one...

    I consider Capt one of the nicest people I have ever met in the gaming community. I need some sort of proof on this one.

    Remembering how Cap was griefed before I last saw him, and the person handling the donations is one of the worst griefers in the game, there's probably room for doubt. Nonetheless, if this news is true, I wouldn't want to be one of Cap's loved ones coming here and seeing his death devolve into a petty squabble. If you have doubts, honor Cap by giving a donation to a reputable costume contest in Cap's name, remember him as the great player he was. and try to keep the high road. And if you do give and you are cheated, it's only imaginary money.

    Nicely said Thundrax, Thank you. Old Glory has a lot of friends on this game and we're currently trying to sort this out. I've written him, but he's always been terrible at replying to mail, It's been a running joke among the PA officers for years. :)
    If he has passed away, or he hasn't I'm sure he appreciates the kind words. He has been ill so keep him in your thoughts, just as we are. I'm sure everyone hopes that he's well enough to play again soon.
