Just starting out on this build, and first time using TK Blades, so I am not certain where I will end up. The idea was for a high critical DPS character, with the possibility of some tanking.
Finding out the hard way that energy is going to be a pain (can't even power up the TK Eruption fully at all). I have seen lots of different threads on this style of build, and many recommend using either Recovery or Intelligence (or Metal Discipline?). But so far I do not have any problems with recharges, and Recovery only interacts with a couple of things (other than energy).
I want to keep Ego PSS, and Con SS, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I can either stay with DEX for the crits, or change to something else for the energy. Either Recovery or Endurance would cover the energy shortage, but then I lose the crits. HELP! Please?

As far as resting energy: ya can gear some Rec on the side to help w/ that, but shouldn't need to SS it. Keep in mind that opener energy isn't as important as having enough energy for ur normal dps rotation.
As an alternative, you can switch the toggle to MDisc and ditch Dex SS for Rex_End SS, but its give and take there (can gear more Ego for Ego Reverb and get an energy stat SS'd, but loses FotT's energy procs and Dex SS's crit). Or maybe try MDisc + a STR/Ego/Con setup, focusing still on Ego (Physical peak will help the melee attack cost at least), but that will hit ur crit% as well.
I'd also get the special adv on EBA over R3.

My current stats (level 16) without any gear / with Aurum (6) are:
Str 10 / 10
Dex 36 / 101
Con 32 / 96
Int 13 / 13
Ego 53 / 174
Pre 13 / 13
Rec 20 / 20
End 10 / 10
Note ; PSS / SS
In Brawler role my numbers are :
Health 2,935
Energy 47 / 112
Offense 46.1
Defense 55.5
Critical 24.2
Severity 50
The self heal from the Ego Weaponry w/ Siphoning Strikes has made virtually any other need for healing a thing of the past. As for the energy issues, I don't get Ego Reverberation until next level, so I am putting off making any (other) changes until afterward. Tried taking this build over to the PTS and ranking him up there. The energy issues were gone, but could not figure out what was different (dead tired).

Glortor : So you would recommend the "Force Shield" (better energy return) over the "TK Shield" (better physical damage protection)? Just thinking back to which stats the Force shield is based on... And it is Ego based (the energy return part) for the win!!
Thanks for jogging my elbow, Glortor. I needed that.
Making changes as we speak, and will be back to post the results this evening (EST).

It basically front loads all the Rec boosts to the lower levels, and with your gear you shouldn't see any significant drop in DPS
