  • Slightly increased the charge time for Qwyjibo's pbaoe attacks.
  • Increased the FX priority for the spawn animation for Qwyjibo's fire hearts.

  • Lowered the cooldown on Kigatilik's hound resurrect.

  • Fixed a bug where Teleiosaurus would occasionally not summon her Hatchling.
  • Slightly increased the charge time for Teleiosaurus's Spike Blast.

In my opinion that should have been delayed until the bug with it is sorted out. I very much dislike just pushing it live and leave players to sort out the mess it will cause.

I acquired got both the kigatilik loincloth and kigatilik loincloth with bag pre-patch ,I was disappointed to see it wasn't available for females as I have several tribal characters however I was delighted to see it should be available to them now ,

However It is only available to me on male characters, but now has belt with bag option on those

Still not available on female characters ,and the costume shows blue marker at the rec vendor saying I don't have it despite the fact the character looking with is wearing it .

Nope. Just tanked Teleiosaurus, got a 90k score, a green secondary, and no credit for daily or perk. I held aggro most of the fight until the healer/tank dynamic broke down, not sure what from. I did my job and I did it well, and I got screwed. This issue is not fixed yet.

Can confirm. I was tanking beside this tank and help migrate damage while I slash the dino on the nose. Got 90k and all I got is a green item to show for it. This is very discouraging.

Apparantly, players who gets scores below 100k doesn't get daily credit also. The open mission should reward players who get listed in the scoreboard despite the scores they got.

Devs, please take this into account.

Did you make changes to the Bone Plates Short costume piece, or costume token? I've already unlocked the piece, but now the mask icon on the token shows blue, instead of grey as it's supposed to.

I can confirm this. The issue is Tanks and Healers don't deal a ton of dps. Especially healers. Because that's not their job. If we're going to make trinity roles a necessity, then rewards for those roles should be equivalent. Tanks and healers literally have to stand at Ground Zero to make an impact. While dps can stand back and spam attacks for easy credit.

There are some builds than can pull of the DPS + tanking or healing requirements. But they are few and far between. Most people aren't going to perform the two most important jobs in cosmic encounters for nothing. Especially, since the encounter can't be completed without them, but they still get little for their efforts.

The contribution points for tanks/healers was increased this patch. Keep in mind you do not get credit for taking damage from any attack, the credit only goes to players who take damage from specific attacks (Teleiosaurus/Hatchling Bite, Qwyjibo's Punches, Kigas Ice Blasts, Frost Hound Bites). Also keep in mind you lose points if you're defeated. The amount lost is fairly small, but if you're defeated frequently it's going to add up.

The participation threshold is not going anywhere. Tweaks will be made to it as needed.

Unfortunately there was a bug with the zone caps which will be addressed. Having the zones properly cap at 50 should ensure the fights last long enough for tanks/healers to get the scoring they need to get rewarded.

It's somewhat unfortunate that doing a better job results in worse rewards, though I'm guessing you don't have the technology to fix it.

Hmm.. I think this information should be posted within Irwin's information menu. I did not know that those particular attacks are necessary to even place in the participation threshold. So, my question now is: If a player places within the threshhold but does not sustain enough of the required attack damage then that player does not receive credit or rewards except for a green drop?

The open missions will give you points for doing the following:
Damaging the main boss/high priority targets (you receive fewer points for damaging non-priority targets, like the hounds and hatchling).
    Taking damage from specific attacks.
    Healing other players.

You will lose points every time you are defeated.

Having a super high score does not give you better chances at rewards, the only requirement to get the regular loot drops is that you meet the minimum threshold.

This type of scoring is going to be placed on more open missions in the future. While some may be more lax than others, having a minimum threshold encourages players to actively participate.

Thank you for this information; it is very helpful. If there is no way to tell if you met the threshhold via the leaderboad, will it eventually be removed? I cannot see a reason to have it if the rewards do not apply to how high or low players place on it.

85 people on Monster Island a minute ago, team up "range" didnt change either...
and since the event was so buggy last week with people not getting credit, I think it should have been extended

Most healers don't have very high HP and much in the way of defense - thus they are frequently defeated.

Aye. The healer role sort of make sure that is the case and given there is so much AoE even with a good tank you are probably going to bite it now and then. So either you will need to build Con Tank Healers which seems silly or they better count healing pretty strongly. Also it would be nice to have some way to see how we are doing in terms of gaining enough credit.

This is a bad idea. With these teamwork dynamics, it is very easy for you to die many, many times and it not be any fault of your own. For example, if tanks wipe on Teleiosaurus and actually try to do their job and regain aggro control, they will probably die several times in the process because if the tanks have died once, the healers also probably have. And since the respawns are so staggered thanks to the respawn being miles away, the tanks may also wind up not having support to split the bite damage. Healers die and come back, and they put themselves at a lot of risk helping the tanks try to get things back under control. One bad dino spin and your healer can get a faceful of tail.

Meanwhile while this is going on, ranged DPS can just kinda chill and keep out of the big damage arcs, block the bubbles, and continue shooting. Even the melee DPS doesn't have to worry about blocking the bites or breath attacks ideally. They rack up lots of points and will often end up dying less, even if their actions are actually causing the encounter to get out of control, while the people trying to get it back under control just keep on a-dying and losing points. It basically creates a system where tanks and healers may have to just sacrifice rewards so everyone else can get them. It's stupid.

Also, with the damage taken->points mechanic, does it use the net damage after mitigation, or the original? Because if mitigation actually lowers the potential points you gain from tanking, that creates an environment that hugely favors regen tanks (less damage mitigated=more points, not to mention the self heal probably counting for heal points as well).

Can we get the CD on the Triumphant Recovery reduced to something useful, like 30 seconds to a minute?

And also, now that the Limited versions are BOP, can we ditch the timer on those? Not many people die that often, and usually when they do, they don't want to hop back up where they fell down.

Goes to help fight the cosmics in monster island but finds because of that map 1 is full because of new zone cap.

That makes the decision to ignore these terribly designed encounters all together that much easier.

Edit: On top of this, something caused the daily to reset on all my characters. It took three times of fighting Kiga and 4 times of fighting the ape before the mission actually registered the defeat. I'm not going to bother with that again.

The mission was redesigned so its success criteria match the criteria for getting a full reward circle, making it actually possible for non-dps. That unfortunately means the mission gets reset because it's out of date.

Neither the bone plates long nor the tribal loincloth auto-unlocked their female versions from me, and I had unlocked the items before. Furthermore, the tribal loincloth moved from showing as unlocked (grey mask) to not unlocked at all (blue mask).

Since some folks have already reported this so quickly, this clearly isn't an isolated incident, and is a sign of the intended effect not working on a larger scale. I'm going to file a bug report, but this is going to be something that needs to be on a different level than "GM whack-a-mole with isolated incidents."

And this differs from the game crashing in an anniversary fight and being unable to get back in because of the zone cap how? (actually, those fights could do with a zone cap reduction as well; the game starts losing track of damage events at a certain point, so 80 people pounding on a mega-D barely do more damage than 50). The plus side of all this is two instances means two separate cosmic timers.

I don't think the cap is that big a deal, granted I haven't been wedged out because of it yet. Supposedly people have been using team teleporters to squeeze in extra folks who are denied entry. Also, people could try and be a bit more considerate and just hop zones. Like if you're waiting on a kigatilik to start, and there's a bunch of people leveling in canada 1, so some folks get stuck in 2, it would be simple for everyone to just move over to zone 2 for the cosmic.

If a second instance of MI or Canada comes into being, does the Cosmic appear immediately, or does the timer begin?

If a second instance of MI or Canada comes into being, does the Cosmic appear immediately, or does the timer begin?

If the Cosmic appears straight away, then, if you get kicked, go to the new instance, and then advertise in zone for folks to come there are soon as the finish in the primary zone.

when a new zone instance is created, it automatically spawns with fresh new cosmics without timers

People follow a Cosmic Que, Qwyjibo -> Teleiosarus -> Kigatilik
and after they fight Kiga, they go straight to Qwy
They will NEVER fight the same cosmics twice in the row

Never? Well, I remember doing two Kigas in a row when there were two instances the day after Cosmics went live.

Besides, there is time between the third Cosmic and the respawn of the first, since they take four hours now.

Looks like good changes in general, but I also want to speak up on the credit/threshhold issue. Some of these fights require people to be dedicated to the "non-priority" targets. The current system encourages players who want full credit to not volunteer for those roles and instead stay on the main target.

Also, it took a lot of tried to get 2/3 cosmics credited on my daily mission during the full week event. Now I login and find out that my daily mission has been reset with no credit. Would it have been so hard to transfer the credit over or just complete the mission for those that had any credit during that week?

Strange stuff going on in this game. Nothing that encourages me to play anything other than the same ol' content that works like it's supposed to, either.
