Hey guys... so I've been wondering how would you guys build (like the title states) an Arcane Archer or a Spellsword. I was thinking obviously having magic along their physical powers, Imbuing their weapon with whatever additional effect, maybe you have Pyromancer's Blade, or Arctic Beast in your build. How viable would it be. What role would it be and what would have for it's tree's, travel powers, talents etc...
He uses dual blades, using the ponaird-looking weapon skin you can get from mobs in Vibora Bay. He uses teleport and acrobatics for travel, with teleport being the obviously magical one. He uses some powers that grant brief invisibility, teleport lunges, or clouds of smoke or flame.
The game doesn't do much to let you have fiery weapons, unless you make your character use Heavy Weapons set, which has several fire/weapon attacks. You can, however, add toxic and sonic effects to any attack using the Gadget power set.
Choosing a magic-looking aura that activates in combat will go a long way towards making your weapon-wielding toon seem magical. One of the free auras, Radiant Protection, involves rotating circles of arcane runes.
Its a mix of a hybrid-dps and a controller; can also off-heal if you want to stick in something like Arcane Vit. Storm's Harvest procs Manip and Trapped due to its innate Root, so that'll be ur main attack - throwing in Mental Storm on cd for more dps. Against CC-able mobs, it can stun-lock groups w/ TClap, and follow-up w/ Eld Blast spam on held targets to take adv of Sorc's Whim.
Since its a Manip-hybrid build it doesn't excell at anything, but is setup to be pretty versatile.
Requires a sub to re-color the TK blades orange/red. Has the theme of a Fiery blade user, even if much of its dmg is Ego typed. Use Pyre and/or Flashfire to keep Thermal Reverb going, and otherwise uses the TK blade combo -> EBA for single targets. Can also summon extra pyro blades- more for theme than anything. Pyre is also ur main AoE attack. I'd suggest it be played in the melee dps role, if using WotW or another offensive passive (like Night Warrior). Alternative is using Hybrid role + AoPM for the versatility.
Gearing is mostly on the 3 SS's for this- w/ some Rec for more equilibrium.
Nice builds was saying to myself like flow stated probably would't exel at anything but be well-rounded and versatile, again pretty nice stuff. I decided to see if I could make a Arcane type Marksman, heres a rough-draft of it so far.
Knight of the Seelie Court. Basically he has Hex of Suffering for De-buff to magic Resistance and Skarn's Bane for magic damage. And if needed, Arcane Vitality from inside a circle of arcane power. If anyone gets too close he uses Blade Tempest and Dragon's Wrath.
Not many things match Archery's 100ft range attacks, but Dust Devil does and can proc MSA pretty easily (as can TStrike or Ball of Lightning). This is another controller build that can lockdown CC-able enemies w/ Sonic Arrow stuns and Storm of Arrow roots. Sonic Arrow will also proc Wither, Concussion, and Sentinel Mastery on its targets, and can stack Manip pretty easily, though I included Storm Invocation solely to stack Manip at any time out of combat (if you wish to use a power slot for that since the power itself is pretty weak- though thematic). The primal ritual iirc can also summon a small lightning storm- again, included more for theme. Ya can axe those for more practical powers, if you'd like.

Seems like the passive here is a bit mismatched, as it won't buff Physical dmg. I'd also trade Overdrive for MSA (hex, conviction, and pyro blades can proc it), and change around the SS's a bit.
