what I meant and sorry for being unclear every Friday there is an issue or other, like rubberbanding, server not responding, or a disconnect and not being able to log back in

A DDoS isn't going to crash the actual game. It might crash the login server (but it hasn't); the game itself would still be fine.

No, this is either a server crash, or an emergency shutdown. This isn't @Neverwintergod and his shenanigans. There was a patch earlier today, and this might be related.

Obviously a freak accident caused a dev to get sucked into Millennium City when they accidentally spilled their soda on the server and the other devs now have to go in to save them. The problem is: YOU DIE IN THE GAME, YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE.
