Release Notes for FC.31.20151210a.21
This build is available on PTS as of 2/1/2016

Teleios Ascendant
- Removed collision from room tubes.
- Added movement power suppression field to the top of Teleios' room.
- Replaced Grond floor with something less transparent.
- Grond's radiation pool's fx has been updated. Adjusted grond's attacks to not knock if you are blocking.
- Teleios now uses Teleiosarus's Hatchling venomous spit attack.
- Gave Teleiosaurus Hatchling a cone ranged attack. She will only use this against whoever has her aggro.
- Medusa's TK Eruption charge time has been increased to 2 seconds (from 1.5).
- Updated Medusa's Psi Bomb FX.
- Increased Medusa's Psi Bomb count to 6.
- Made it so Medusa always spawns 6 Psi Bombs.

Additional Changes
- Updated the descriptions for several devices to state that no more than one of each can be equipped at a time.
- Lowered the cooldown Thunderbolt wand.
- Lowered damage on Argent Neatralizing Taser Lowered the duration of Psi Storm Crystal to 10 seconds.
- Updated Strafing Run's tooltip to display how much damage each hit does.
- Updated descriptions on Teleios Gadget, Warlord and Hipan core mods to state that their effects do not stack. This has always been true and is just a description update.
- Increased the effectiveness of knock and repel mods. Increased the effectiveness of regeneration mods.

    A few of your suggestions were already posted in the power bug section that the devs keep up with and at least 1 of them actually was in the patch notes a little bit ago.

    Even if none your suggestions did show up in the patch, it would probably not be because the devs have some kind of personal vendetta against you.

    Furthermore there have been many changes made that reflect that the devs are listening to the concerns people are having. Just because they don't implement your suggestion doesn't mean they haven't heard it.

    Oh! And who's to say that they don't have plans to implement other ideas at a later date, but they are just trying to meet a deadline to have the actual lair ready?

    If there are to be 6 sigils, there need to be two changes to them.

    - they need to stop spawning in tight groups
    - they need to disappear the very moment you pick them up

    Hey it's still 1999 and Evercrack is the only game in town! Grinding is fun! There's nowhere else to go, so you have to... wait... This just in, it's 2016 and there are tons of MMOs now. Players can now flee mindless grinding and find games they actually like. It also appears Cryptic devs are going all in on the Censoredcraft alienate most of your players and somehow profit plan.

    This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

    Nope, not a single suggestion was heard.

    And it's not a personal vendetta of course. I'm just stating a fact that they don't listen to anything I say, so I just state a logical conclusion that trying to post anything on this forum for me is an absolute waste of time.

    I doubt this game has anything like a *deadline* too because it's something that only good games have and this one is 3rd class money milking grind mmo and will stay so till it's closed.

    So? I gave devs a trial period to actually do something (+I pm'ed my bugs + suggestions long ago in private chat with almost every dev too btw) , they proved my point and ignored once again, so I'm making a couple of last posts to show the results of *Do devs listen to players?* experiment and then moving on.
    Those results may be interesting for anyone who may have an assumption that they can make this game better by suggesting something and/or reporting a bug and save them from lots of wasted time and effort in future like that.

    -Bug: The voice overs are either not implemented or are not properly working for the terminals outside the halls of Gravitar and Teleiosaurus Hatchling.

    -Bug: The sigils produced by Medusa can spawn unreasonable close together, their area of effect resembling a tightly created Venn Diagram. This problem existed when there were only 5 sigils, but now that there are 6, the effect is much more evident. It can be the case that players close enough to a cluster will already have picked up 1 sigil and it will be impossible to get close enough to pick up just one more sigil. Usually it is the case that those players just freeze out of fear of detonating the psi bombs. The even more frustrating (but less frequent) effect of this is when a cluster of three sigils spawns on a player. I considered this could theoretically be possible, but I actually witnessed it happen more than once.

    -Bug: Sigils are still susceptible to knock. They are no longer active once knocked but still stay visible.

    Suggestion: If it cannot be made so that the sigils spawn far enough from each other, have several preset variations of where the sigils appear that are spaced out enough for players to be able to reasonably acquire them. This probably won't be as fun as the sigils placed randomly, but it is preferable to the problems that clusters can cause. The fight last long enough that you will eventually be a victim of a tightly clustered group.

    PLEASE. PLEASE take whatever voodoo magic you guys used to make this happen and apply it to more bosses and VIPER Power Armors and other incredibly annoying enemies.

    The bosses over the devs are probably pushing them hard to try to make CO more profitable.

    I'm pretty sure those prices are intended to drive micro translations and reduce player turnover by keeping players busy grinding. CO would have to be a sub based game to do the prices you want.

    Having a grindy game with updates is better than having a stagnant game without grind.

    PVP is starving without rewards

    1. Please give us Daily PVP missions that reward Questionite.
    2. Please give us an exchange rate between Acclaim and Recognition so that PVP has access to all "On Alert" PVE rewards.

    I'm guessing this is why Distinguished Armor of Freedom now has 70% knock values instead of 50%, which is otherwise undocumented.

    Could someone pls post the stats on the Determination Secondary gear? Also are they available only as Teleios Ascendant boss drops or are they also in the Gold champions recognition shop?

    They are in the new UNTIL Agent in the Recognition building and in the UNITY build. I will post a screen shot for all of them, but I will post them in the Rewards thread.

    -Device and gear pricing from silver rec vendors is simply put... stupidly high, I STRONGLY recommend reducing the price by half to make the items not mind-numbingly dull to grind for, without completely removing said grind.

    Prices for devices are overpriced considering this is a multi character game. Unless the dev team is intentionally trying to encourage players to only play one character. The business model since Aura sets reflects that.​​

    Is that like the one that I ended up getting knocked into overhead ceiling (If I recall) light Shade? cause when I tested it while back with Gravitar ends up knocking me up into it and Melee has to jump down, not so much of an issue but if you're too busy recovering when she does a Cascade or Destruction your way, yeah, trying to scramble escape to be flattened, not sure if it's addressed.

    I take this quote from a review that I agree with.

    "customisation is so linear; everyone is after the optimal dps:survivability ratio with 0 reliance on other players = autonomous gameplay... Players don't need each other anymore... which in my opinion is a bad thing."

    That's probably how it's gonna go..they see other MMOs(one of which they made, NWO) doing that and succeeding, and think that's how it should be here. Unless you've got Heroics saved up, or a bunch of Q, Alting gonna be a pain :'(.(But of course, some people refuse to see how this'll be a negative change, but hey! See no wrong and all that :P)
    Buffing everything to stupid high levels and nerfing everything to piss poor levels yields the same results, but not the same community reactions.

    I was super excited that you were making the CD for the thunderbolt wand short, because the device looked so cool, but you changed the effect of it to look like the trident! Why?????

    Aw, man. I was super excited when I saw this, because the power effect of it looked so cool, how it was an electric blast. But, you guys just made it look the exact same as the trident device you get the the Gold Rec store. Why?????

    Before, Thunderbolt Wand had a hand blast emanation, followed by electricity similar to R1 electric blast.

    Does the new version actually make your character pull out a trident?!

    If so, that is a bug.

    BUG: Regeneration Cores
    When two regen cores of the same rank are slotted into a piece of gear, only one of them gives healing tics. Two mods of different ranks works.


    BUG: Distinguished Gloves of Healing
    Description says that it increases your chance to crit with healing abilities, however the 5% crit appears to be applied directly to the player's crit chance for all powers. After doing some parsing, it appears that this is indeed being added to the player's general crit rating as opposed to just healing crit.

    To be fair, that does improve your chance to crit with healing abilities (not that I've ever seen a heal build focus on crits).

    Yes it is nice, and it does effect heals, but 5% attack crit chance unaffected by diminishing returns doesn't seem like something that should be on healer gloves ^_^;

    200 SCR for the Heroic gear is high, but I would not say it's crippling. Considering there are more opportunities to earn SCR, the length of time to get the Heroic gear makes it still doable.

    Other items, I'll agree some prices are way too insane.​​

    BUG: Teleios Ascendant Tower Entry
    When I click on the Tower doors without a mission and without being in the queue, I am able to enter the Epic Lair. After 15-20 seconds, my character is then kicked from the instance.
    This will be needlessly confusing to players. It should simply put you in the queue when you click on the doors.

    BUG: Thunderbolt Wand Animation
    As mentioned above, the wand now plays the incorrect animation. Instead of shooting electricity from the hands or a wand, the Trident of the Element Master animation plays. This makes the device incongruous for some characters.
    Either play the original animation, a wand-based animation, or update the description of the item to indicate that it is a trident.

    By the way, Teleport to RenCen device now takes 4.5 sec to charge up to use. Probably a good thing to keep it out of most combat use.

    But I thought it was already not usable in combat? Or am I wrong? Maybe I'm thinking of the option on the crime computer to exit you from an instance.​​

    1. My response did not say anything about the value nor the appropriateness of the person's feedback.
    2. My response was aimed more at the person calling people actually willing to do what it takes to get the items not sane.

    There are plenty of things that I don't purchase or try to obtain in the game because I don't see the value in them to do so. That doesn't mean that they aren't valuable and worth the effort of obtaining to someone else. (Nor does it mean the person who does see worth and value in the item and puts in the effort to obtain said item is insane.)

    Anyways, some of you just seem to want to overreact and focus on details rather than looking at the big picture. Hopefully the devs aren't discouraged by this. <3

    To support this:
    Same Gear and build (Ego Primary)

    With Distinguished Gloves of Healing:

    477 Hits | 38% of them Criticals

    Distinguished Gloves of Offense:

    509 Hits | 33% of them Criticals


    That is exactly 5%

    If you look at the average of 2GM in either parse, the numbers are about the same. That said, this particular build had 120% crit serverity.

    Excelsior, my celestial toon uses crits for healing, and he's scary good at it. I'm honestly surprised that more people don't build that way. The spec trees even cater to this sort of build.

    That being said, it is a bit wonky for the gloves to provide a flat 5% to healing and dps.

    Excelsior, my celestial toon uses crits for healing, and he's scary good at it. I'm honestly surprised that more people don't build that way.

    Bubbles don't crit, and total amount healed isn't really usually a limiting factor on healers to start with.
