Is the Unity 2 pre-req chain getting fixed? Because that Foxbat one is a giant roadblock. As in, if you don't know how to fix it, you can't continue the quest chain to even get to doing Unity 2 missions.
It's definitely still bugged in Live (Foxbat just standing there), though I just managed to get through it earlier. I healed him, left the instance, came back, the two initial mobs that begin attacking him come again, but once they were dead and I talked to him, the mission cleared. No clue if this is reasonably repeatable for others, though.
Hmmm I just did mine like a month or so ago. I didn't have any troubles...didn't even know it was supposed to be bugged.
I notice that unlike the note for the normal and custom alerts which will give SCR via their daily mission, the note for Rampages just says "- Rampages now drop 3 Silver Champion Recognition (SCR)." So it sounds like, in theory, we'll be able to get that as many times a day as we're willing to do Rampages. Lemurian Invasion and Sky Carrier are pretty long, but I can see Gravitar at least as being somewhat spamable.
I know most of us wont care about his.. but how will the lowbies get MCPD recog for their shop? I dont see anyone farming for 150 MCPD recog from creeps just for the basic costumes.
I take this quote from a review that I agree with.
"customisation is so linear; everyone is after the optimal dps:survivability ratio with 0 reliance on other players = autonomous gameplay... Players don't need each other anymore... which in my opinion is a bad thing."

The Recog unlocks are account-wide; between that and the fact that MCPD Recog falls on my lowbie toons like the gentle rain from heaven, I've gotten all the MCPD unlocks and have several hundred unused MCPD Recog on more than a few toons. PRIMUS is almost as bad.

Another reason why we should have a convert up option for all of it, at pretty much *any* rate it would be preferable, even with the new stuff at each vendor.

I would not expect a good ratio, if this ever happens. 10 (MCPD) for 1 (Primus) would be extremely optimistic and I doubt any dev team would ever let you upgrade to SCR or GCR.
- Rampages now drop 3 Silver Champion Recognition (SCR).
- Extra reward circles in Sky Command have a chance to drop SCR.
- Alert Dailies now give 5 SCR in addition to Questionite.
- Unique Alert missions now give 5 SCR.
- Unity 2 missions now give 2 SCR.
- The special Unity2 mission gives 6 SCR
- Daily Alert mission rewards are now level gated. Level 1-24 will receive Primus recognition. Level 25-39 will receive Until recognition. Level 40 will receive Silver Champion Recognition.
- Devices from the Silver Champion Recognition store have been set to level 40.
The two things I bolded are maybe separated for a reason. I think it means that you will be able to get SCR from the alert dailies (which include the custom alert daily) and the Custom alert itself will also give SCR (the light that you get loot from at the end of the custom alert.) So you should be able to get SCR by also repeating Custom alerts. If you do that, it doesn't have to take you a month to get your precious Heroic gear. Hopefully that is the case.

Think that's only once a day(pretty sure it is) so you'd get it once from the alerts and that'd be it. However, for a casual it will still be a month-possibly more to grind a full set of heroics for a toon.(God forbid they have more than one alt needing the sets )
Buffing everything to stupid high levels and nerfing everything to piss poor levels yields the same results, but not the same community reactions.

You can convert higher recogs into lower ones.
Right, but for a lowbie, they also have to unlock the higher recogs costumes. I just feel like 150 is too much trouble for someone who just started the game and has much less costume options than we do.
Well, I could be very wrong though, after all I do have hundreds of UNTIL & Lower recogs that I have nowhere to spend on.

150 isn't that much trouble. It doesn't take all that long and often baffles me how people that think that somethings that might take a bit of time to do is some how bad. And it isn't even that much time. Lowbies can option tokens as quest rewards, for starters, and you can get quite a fair amount of them. Then at the end converting down is not all that hard. This just seems like one of those non issues it really doesn't require that much farming to do, and hell most of the costumes can be sold on the auction house if you really have to have it then and there.
For the Unity 2 Foxbat pre-reqs, I was actually thinking about the mailbox quest issues and forgot about the time machine part. I know the quest from the mailbox is a hot mess because I just got a comment on one of my vids thanking me for helping someone figure out wtf is wrong with the mission. It's been awhile since I've done those videos, so there could be all sort of other issues I forgot about.
I would love to be able to convert currency up, even at an icky rate. Otherwise, it just sits there, doing nothing when it could be helping me buy fabulous new outfits and gear.
Newer players simply have no idea about UNITY missions, and likely do not have Vibora Bay unlocked.
Will this new system convince them to leave MC? I hope it does, but I'm not that hopeful.
With the prices set as they are not likely. Especially not after we just finished the winter event grind. Sure some might do the grind for a single character, but I doubt they'd grind out the tokens many more then that one. That would be a good way to get burnt out.
We've left out the most important suggestion of all concerning UNITY: Move it back to the building in the RenCen. I mean, what is that place even for now? Does that marker still incorrectly point there? If UNITY isn't using it, can I buy it on the Z-store for my own personal Hideout? and if so, how much extra zen for a giant "M" on the outside of the building?
They've fixed it in this patch, the e-mail mission from Dr White now points to the right place. Whether it should be there is moot, but presumably that's about trying to make the UNITY/UNTIL building a hub for late game activity. The Strike Force vendor (or whatever they're called) in UNTIL points to a mission giver or some kind in there as well - hopefully they can give links to the late game content/lair unlock chains (Steel Crusade, Andrith, VB Apocalypse, whatever the Lemuria one is). It would be good to include some of the easier lairs in there too - Necrull, Lava Temple - as they give people a flavour of the mechanics, which a lot of PUGs don't seem to know.
Here's two suggestions to make Unity 1 & 2 more obvious to new players:
Suggestion for Unity 1: When players reach 40 instead of an email from Dr. White, auto-give a mission that directs the new lvl 40 player to the Unity HQ. That way players know the missions exist. The in-game email is just too easy to miss. Especially, for people who sell stuff on the exchange. You already do this for Onslaught.
Suggestion for Unity Two: Place an astral form of "Whisper" in the Unity HQ (or somewhere else really obvious). When you click on the Astral Form she explains what Unity 2 Missions are and how to unlock them. It's just too easy to not even know UNITY 2 exists at all!
If the idea behind all these changes is to help solve the "What do I do at lvl 40" question - making UNITY missions as obvious as possible seems like an easy fix.
Can we please have the recognition ACCOUNT BOUND?
That way, it doesn't matter if you have 1 or 100 alts, all your recognition is in one place.
There will be less problem with collecting, since it all goes into the one total.
"Can we please have the recognition ACCOUNT BOUND?"
With a much higher cap? I have two characters with max UNITY / UNTIL / wtf ever one it is req. I'd be kinda sad to lose over half of it between all my toons.

Whoever you are, be that person one hundred percent. Don't compromise on your identity.
Actually, I've played on and off since Friends and Family Beta, and I'm clueless about Unity 2.
