Anyone else having loading issues?

I get the launcher loaded ok, sign in, pick a toon, then............nothing. basically sticks on map retrieval or, if im lucky, it will get past that and stick on load in. WTH?

Are you using the streaming method or are you fully installed? If the map is taking a bit to load up, that probably also means its a fresh map and it's creating a new server instance for it, that will take an extra bit of time.

try turning off on demand patching on your login options. it may also be trying to ad things in as you go.

I've had the same issue I cant get past the Cryptic screen been trying for freaking hours, totally missed the guilds CC tonight. I think I'll just reinstall tomorrow.

OP reinstalling works bit bloody late but it works

Hehe yup, it did work. And continues to work every time I have this problem. Its the first thing I try now. Funny though, this is the first game I have ever played where I had to uninstall, and reinstall at least bi-monthly. *sigh* whatever, Im an addict. there is no hope for me. lol

Turn background update off via launcher options and set everything to low ( even if you has big rig ) this helps some people for reasons not yet known.

if it keeps returning, you may have some files being corrupted , try running force verify from the login options menu, to get it t check your files.

or as with mine. My Norton, treats the error program as a virus and immediately quarantines it.

Check yours is allowing CO to have access to the internet and other things.

As long as you have On-demand patching disabled in launcher options and the launcher downloading the extra few hundred MBs of files to replace on-demand patching then you should never have to keep reinstalling the game or deal with map loading being stuck due to the on-demand files not transferring.
