Head-shooty-guy

A concept popped into my head and seemed worth posting here.

Experimenting with a character whose head is their weapon. I always like characters whose powers are visible and clearly communicated via their outfits, so having a head that is glowing green zappy stuff seemed like a neat idea.

Probably should have been a different colour though, on account of looking like snot.

  • I really like the concept, especially with the second screenshot. I think the whole golden armor makes it seem to be an ancient arcane construct, tasked with protecting an old artifact but woke up to find it missing (or it probably woke up as a safe mechanism?).

I'm not loving the costume, per se, but I like the head/ energy notion a lot.

Yes, that. Ancient arcane construct was definitely in my head at the time, at least.

It was a rush job, yeah. I normally spend longer making costumes, but the basic idea is there. I probably won't bother playing this character very much, so it was to experiment with powers and costumes together more than anything else.

FWIW I like the glowing green effect. It's not a color you see often in the game or the source material, which works well with the gold and brown of the armor, and combines with the armor's shape to evoke an impression of otherworldliness.

With that baroque, pseudo-demonic styling, it would fit as a Lemurian golem, powered by an internal arcane furnace the energies from which emerge out the top as a "head." Probably activated, or maybe even built, to aid in the recent Lemurian civil war. Lemurians in general don't care much for helping other people, but age or combat might have scrambled this one's "programming" to a more general protectiveness.

    I like it!

With the costume I think it's just the wings that throw it off.

When I saw the thread title, I thought it'd be some new variant on the Soldier, a concept that pretty much revolves around shooting things in the head.

Instead, it's someone who shoots things with his head. I like it.
