I know that not everyone has the same priorities that I do, but I feel that endgame gear should be accessible, and that time and dedication should offer a way around the whims of the RNG. As such, there are some things I'd like to suggest.
1: Rampage tokens- Supercooled Ignimbrite, Hyperdense Diamonds, Petrified Scales, and Destreum Bearings. I propose allowing a player to trade any one of these, along with, say 25 or 30 Silver Champions recognition, for any other of the tokens. You'd still need the same total number, but it gives a little more control of the process to the player.
2: Guardian and Villain Tokens- If you won't add these to the drop tables of dungeon bosses, perhaps allow players to trade Recognition for them. I know you want people to play the Onslaught content, but gating endgame PvE gear behind PvP content is poor game design and breeds frustration among people who don't enjoy PvP.

I definitely agree with this. Champions has always thrived on allowing multiple ways of playing - from the many different archetypes to the endless possibilities of free-form characters to the fact that it's impossible to do all the level appropriate missions in all the various zones without outleveling them (especially if you do alerts too). One of its greatest charms is the fact that, for so much of its gameplay, you can go, "You know, I feel like playing this way," and even more importantly, "You know, I really -don't- feel like playing this way," and you can still progress. So more flexibility with acquiring end game gear is only a good thing. Particularly with PvP vs PvE. I'm one of those people who hate PvP with a passion and would like at least the option to avoid it if I can. But I also think people should have the option to do extensive PvP content if they want to. Lots of options and the support for lots of different styles of play; that really seems to be the CO spirit for me.

now all we need is endgame stuff to use it on

and before On alert- best gear in game was in PVP. The only other good gear was from Vikorin
