This build is available on PTS as of 11/20/2015

Bug Fixes
- Fractal Aegis now applies different amounts of defense based on rank of targets hit.

- Gave Mental Storm and Mind Break unique icons.
- Updated the icon for the temporary version of Windchill.
- Added icons for hoverboards and lockbox preview window.
- Added no-detail textures for Werewolf Monstrous 01, 02 and 03. Added leather and metal materials to the heads.

Please format any bugs you find in the following format:

Please stay on topic in this PTS thread. We use bug reports from this thread to decide whether a PTS build is ready to go live, and so we need to make sure we're seeing everything in it. Please do discuss the changes, but if you find yourself writing about something that isn't specific to what's on PTS, then that should probably go here: http://forum.arcgames.com/championsonline/categories/gameplay-bugs1.

These player & moderator maintained threads are checked weekly by the development team.

    Yessssssssssssssssssssssss!

Mind Break and Mental Storm Icon's have been a looong time coming and they have DEFINITELY delivered!

    Mind Break's New Icon:

    Mental Storm's New Icon:

I'm a fan of Telepathy (obviously) and I'm definitely a fan of these new icons.

Thank you to the person(s) on the development team who took the time to do this for Telepathy!

    Fractal Aegis:

A little more clarification on this...

I'm assuming 10% per stack is for Henchmen and Villains, 20% per stack for Enforcers and Master Villains and 30% per stack for Other Champions, Super Villains and Legendaries and Cosmics?

@ladygadfly , is there a real chance of the VFX being altered too? To make it cooler?

BUG!: You still haven't fixed the issue where female characters cannot travel to Lemuria without crashing and then being unable to log in afterwards!

Not all hairstyles are in both Hairstyle A and B.

Krampus has Cloth texture instead of Hair which stands out with multiple hairstyles.

Can you elaborate on that? I can't even begin to think why or how that would happen.

Well, at least the defense bonus for Fractal Aegis is better.

When fighting a boss without adds, it isn't so hot. But against dual bosses (Fire and Ice), it isn't terrible.

Wonder what it does against an Onslaught Villain.

    Bugs still need fixing..

    BUG: Hoverboards:

    1. Have no icon when slotted in power tray.
    2.No new SFX for hoverboards.
    3. Huge unlocking issues, such as No other levels.
    4. Ranking does nothing SFX wise & visual wise, unlike the hover disc
    5. Light Hoverboards lack of SFX.
    6. Need more hoverboards, Fire/Ice/Toxin/PSI/Holo

Yeah, whuold you Manwholaughs? (Goggle things your name is Manslaughter, lol).

I don't do the Lemuria Crysis, due to you need to wait for it, like a alert, that's a real pain in the butt, but I don't think everyone else gets this bug, has anyone else tryed it?

I suspect you have corrupted texture files on your local computer.

Force verify the game via the launcher and that might help

BUG!: You still haven't fixed the issue where female characters cannot travel to Lemuria without crashing and then being unable to log in afterwards!

Just took a few different female characters on a trip to Lemuria with absolutely no issues at all. 2 Live and 1 PTS, one of the Live characters had already completeted the crisis (and done stuff in Lemuria), the other two had never visited the zone before.

It's likely an issue on your end. Force Verify is the first step.

Since this issue first came into effect (since onslaught went live) I have Force Verified probably over 50 times now, redownloaded the game at least six times. So yeah, just read here for more information: http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/championsonline#/discussion/1203139/game-crashes-when-i-choose-a-character

Before onslaught went live I was able to go to Lemuria with this character no problem (this is without doing the crisis), now it just crashes whenever I attempt to load into Lemuria and I am then unable to log into that character until a GM manually moves said character to a safe Zone in Millennium City.

Unless it's limited to the Grond Chest piece the dialogue mentions in your second post in the other thread, I doubt any developer could fix the issue with the amount of information you've provided in either thread. On the other hand, if Verify always crashes with the Memory Consistency error you mention in your first post in the other thread, chances are that you need to do a thorough check health of your own hardware. You should probably also do it if it happens somewhat often when you Verify.

Otherwise: How does it react if you try other characters? What happens if you use a different costume for the character that crashes? How about Auras? Devices? Unslotting your Passive? Turning your Form off? What if you store all items and gear in the character's bank?

The issue will not be fixed unless you can provide some sort of information for the devs to work with.

One thing I recommend is turning off on-demand patching. This will cause a giant patch file to get downloaded, but it's a lot more reliable later.

I seem to recall an issue from a few years back, where certain characters would crash when loading zones. Found it.. actually
    http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/championsonline#/discussion/229895/client-crashing-and-what-you-can-do

Certain characters would get stuck in Whiteout and once the crash occurred that toon couldn't log in anymore. The issue was fixed but maybe some tips in that old thread might work here.

Just tested though and Lemuria loads fine for both my male and female toons.

    You're joking, right?

I have provided as much information as I can provide, from screenshots of the issue, constant bug/crash reports which should contain as much information as they need, to multiple tickets going into great depth pertaining to the issue.

If you read through the issue topic I posted in the link you'd see I have tried this with different characters, with the only similarity they have is being female characters.

Yeah I remember that one too, and I remember it getting fixed in a timely fashion.

Also, I always have on-demand patching disabled, and if I didn't it would have been one of the first things I'd have tried to troubleshoot the problem.

I would have tried this with more characters, but if the same thing keeps happening then I won't be able to log back into those characters without a GM/Dev manually moving my character/characters to safe zones, which can sometimes take days when it comes to PWE's reaction time.

Make sure your drivers are up to date.

Also make sure your BIOS is up to date as well. Just be aware, do not interrupt your BIOS update in any fashion as doing so will make your PC unusable. I was having similar issues with Wildstar crashing then I updated the BIOS and the problem went away. Check with your manufacturer of the motherboard.

I really like the two hair styles thing, but could you add the "Standard" hairstyle to all of these? It's the one from hats and helmets. I think it's only one that we don't have access to like the others.
  • I'm looking forward to the sidekick stuff and Hoverboards, and the new lockbox

Oh yes! It is a super plain hairstyle, but it is one I really like on some toons.

In order to get to the actual source of the problem we must first rule out as many variables as possible. While it is entirely possible the problem is on Cryptic's side. The first thing to do would be open a new thread in the tech support forum and add a dx report to it.

This will let those with technical knowledge see important information regarding your computer. If you don't know how open the run window (if using WIndows) and type dxdiag. Once it is open, let it scan your computer then click save all information. Save the file somewhere you can quickly get to it.

Once saved, open the file and past the contents in the thread you created in the tech support area.
