    There's actually an update bar over the Neverwinter forums saying they are aware of the outage, it seems.​​
    Champions Online player since September of 2008, forumite since February of 2008.

    When will the outage be addressed for CO, I wonder?
    Buffing everything to stupid high levels and nerfing everything to piss poor levels yields the same results, but not the same community reactions.

    Depends on what is happening, if it's a ddos then whenever they figure out what ports are being attacked and what they can do to block the attacker.

    did any one else get a CTD before it happened ? i was makeing a costume and then CTD and then this.....

    I wonder if we'd get the devs to post information like this over here too if we all were to go over to the STO & NW forums and pester them about it... They post that new SotG here to try and tell us that they are focusing more on CO again, and the moment something goes wrong with the servers we are yet again left in the dark without so much as a notice from them on the CO forums... we're forced to scour the STO and NW forums for everything... what gives?​​

    the game was stable and then suddenly not - this feels like a DDOS rather then 'server instability' that they can fix.

    they should give everyone 100 tako coins for all the outagases and sever maint that has been going on during event

    I'm sure that if anyone gets compensation it will be STO and NW players only... like always...​​

    There is very little that can prevent a ddos. Even major companies like Microsoft or Amazon are susceptible to them. All they can do at this point is play damage control while trying to block the attacker.

    Up until this attack the servers have been solid/stable for me, I've had a few client crashes but that is a different issue for a different topic.

    There are a lot of things that can cause someones connection to the servers to become unstable. Without more information about the users set up and isp a true diagnosis is impossible.

    True..I knew for a fact that i've never had an issue with CO on this computer(even at max graphics) regarding lag/SNRs until now. At first I thought it was on my end, but when a good portion of players i've talked to said they've been getting constant SNRs/lag, that set off a few alarms :|

    you're lucky. even with the new computer I'm still getting hit. No where near as bad as with the old one and slower internet

    Yeah, they have long been aware of the issue, ever since the LAST bout of DDOS attacks about a month ago. But, of course, Cryptic being Cryptic, they did nothing to shore up their defenses whatsoever despite having plenty of time to do so. They simply resort to amateurish tactics, as even the DDOS attacker noted:

    What part of nothing they can do to prevent a ddos do people not understand? Even some of the most secure computers in the world are susceptible to a ddos.

    Having issues right now myself.....right as I log on Server Not Responding.....then a lot of rubberbanding afterwards
