Please stay on topic in this PTS thread. We use bug reports from this thread to decide whether a PTS build is ready to go live, and so we need to make sure we're seeing everything in it. Please do discuss the changes, but if you find yourself writing about something that isn't specific to what's on PTS, then that should probably go here: http://forum.arcgames.com/championsonline/categories/gameplay-bugs1.

Welp, guess I will just do the ship once or so to see how it goes. My guess is that it will be farmed by DPS champs and exclude others from coins.

    Hope I'm wrong.

Unless they boost the overall rewards, the ship isn't worth the trouble of farming.

There is a good chance you are right... there is little chance of my melee toons getting even close enough to have their weapons taste it before an OP DPS takes it out.

Hmm.. 1 hour reset time for the Ghost Ship? Vibora Bay may become lag city with players trying to spawn camp it. However, it may deter just enough players for other character classes to get a shot at it. Zone chat is going to be SPAMMED with people shouting Ghost Ship AND Takofanes spawn times.

    Here we go again...

This logic of this point is baffling.

Oh well. I don't see how that is a negative thing.

This is what's called a live and active game with stuff going on in it. I know we've all gotten used to CO being relatively dead, but complaining about the game potentially having activity (and new stuff to do) is mind boggling. I much prefer Zone chat to be filled with useful and interesting announcements as opposed to fighting and bickering.

This update isn't perfect, but it's good. We're getting active and engaged development. And I'm thrilled.. perhaps alone in it.. but still thrilled.

It's not the respawns which is the bad part its the lack of rewards for anyone not placing first. this is a huge step backwards.

Uhhh you get a reward for not placing first, and I hardly think an only useless piece of junk gear from pre On Alert counts as a world shattering reward since it does nothing. The difference between first and not first is 5 Turakian tokens. Wooo.

I haven't tested since this last patch, but 3rd place didn't get any tokens before the patch and there is nothing about that in the patch notes.

Since you can get a coin from trick or treaters, it will just be easier to farm the heck out of them to get coins.

    hi
just pointing out an issue with the cursed set.

If you have already unlocked some of the pieces from before, then the rest will not unlock
I also noticed that cursed costumes are not listed when you try to search for them
i wonder if anyone else have had this problem
Plus any idea when you are gonna re-enable the pts store, as the costumes I have bought on live cannot be used or tested against these new one.
It's been this way since alert was released, when before it was active and useful

They are are listed for me. I remember initially I could not find them, but I was using the wrong names for them in search. Maybe something similar is happening for you?

The names are "Cursed" and "Scourge". The set also unlocks the trenchcoat with chains.

    Dearest @Ladygadfly ,

Due to the reward structure of the Ghost Ship Open Mission, the event is little more than a race to use Backup Champions Devices in order to earn first place. The Open mission is over in less than 10 seconds (that is unfortunately not a hyperbole).

It would make more sense to make the ghost ship more along the lines of the "Clarence" Open Mission that is available during the winter event. 10 Million health or so would absorb those Backup devices and still leave players with a fight. After all, Vibora is a level 34 gated zone, so players will be more powerful than your average line up in an open mission.

Also, if the rewards could be evened out so that support characters and tanks could have an equal chance at earning tokens, that would also be great. 10 tokens all around for a challenging open mission would be nice and make the even more memorable.

    Sincerely,
Mira Kimbal - Space Pirate Merchant.

Yes I completely agree, it's just a little silly how fast it's over now. The pirates don't even have a chance to spawn and attack.

Is it possible to make enemies resistant to certain things (like the Backup! devices)? It might be better to give it some resistances/immunities than outright raise its health. That said, the rewards do need better distribution since not everyone is in damage role.

An interesting feature of Scary Monster mobs is that they take less damage from backups, because they take reduced damage from foes that are higher level than they are.

She is right, not even a hyperbole, the Ghost ship melted withing 15 Seconds, and I got 0 Tokens out of it

Another failure, not even gonna bother with this open mission event, its DPS-reward only

Bug(ish): The text for incendiary round 3 only says "Incendiary round" instead of "incendiary round mark 3" as is the conventional naming for most vehicle weapons.

Bug(ish): Going through the crypts with a team only grants one player Turakian Coins from the final boss.

I have also found this to be the case. This appears more like a bug than intended design since it actively discourages players from teaming up.

To fix this, the tokens should only be rewarded upon completion of the mission you receive when entering the crypt. This would solve two problems: First, everyone would get turakian coins when they complete the mission. Second, it removes the exploitation of being able to run into the crypt, kill the boss for 5 turakian coins, then use Socrates to exit map without completing the mission, then re-enter the crypt to repeat. You can farm tokens incredibly fast this way. Fast enough to acquire almost 50 tokens in 10 minutes if you are good enough.

A moderator may need to remove the above if it is found too exploit-y

Not very exploity razama, when you can simply find another crypt within a minute or 2.

I didn't think it was very exploit-y, but probably not intended.

If you do add that 2 minutes between each crypt run however, it adds up fast. Say you can just use teleport or skip right through the crypt fighting as little as possible. It would take you about 2 mins to clear the crypt. You go back in, that is another two minutes. So you're roughly taking <5 minutes per 10 tokens. Add in the time it would take to find another crypt (we'll use your 2 minutes) and you've increased the amount of time needed for 2 tokens by 40% - that is assuming the crypt you get to is open. Over time, that adds up to a sizable, but not unfair amount.

Ultimately not a huge deal, but still seems unintended.

Well the way the tokens are set up this bloodmoon I think is a pretty big deal. Like Mira said it actively discourages teaming up for any of the pve content.

    Bug:
The Incendiary Rounds mk3 on the Crimson Demonwing is the pre-nerf version. It has lower energy cost, huge threat bonus, 120 feet range and no target limit. Without a target limit it kills everything in a huge area in a few seconds, that was changed for a reason.

actually it's exactly the same as Kevin poe farming.
Go in, kill Boss, get reward, leave without finishing mission(by turning off bomb/checking sarcophagus),leave, repeat.

I'm guessing it needs a space before/after the | to fuction properly. Not technically to do with the update, but still Bloodmoon related.

I could not "exploit" the crypts as described. When I entered and killed the boss, the crypt ceased to be open to me.

The one you can't kill is Strength.

One of the crypt layouts has only that mini boss.

Well I did do the Pirate Ship event once on Live.

It took around 10 minutes or so with five or six level 40 heroes. My toon actually got damage significantly a few times by the hordes of pirates. It was a pretty boring, stand and spam fight.

    I got 5 Turakian coins.

Seems as though the luster of DPS-leaderboards is pretty dull when there is no big reward.

Bug(ish): Going through the crypts with a team only grants one player Turakian Coins from the final boss.

    Add to this:

Bug Bug Bug (PTS and Live) The Coin chest has an item level, so changing the sharing scheme can reward you with an unopenable chest. In addition, this item level is "viral" and "infects" all chest drops (they all round up and can't be opened)

PS: If you happen to get a bugged chest, hide it in your bank to avoid infestation.
