A Ridiculous RP Proposition

Hello! This thread pertains mostly to the roleplayers of the game.

I was on an MMO recently with a very small RP community, on the dying end of its lifespan, but they had something I've never actually seen before in an MMORP community: social networking, in character.

That is to say that while the RP "hotspots" in the actual game weren't particularly hot, there was a thriving community of roleplayers using twitter in the role and mindset of their characters, with dedicated and themed accounts. I don't actually use Twitter in person, as me, but something about the aspect of using it to bring a character to life was tremendously fun. It added an almost ARG element to the game and the roleplay.

Seeing as Champions Online is also set in a modern setting, it could be implemented here, as well! If you think it would translate well, that is.

Are there any takers? Any other ideas to add?

Sister Silicon Prime is already on Twitter. She was a little peeved when the first supervillain they announced for the new Supergirl TV show was Red Tornado - she was displeased by the insinuation that AIs must always become evil.

Yep. See the sig. ⏬ It's more in-character (meta-)commentary, messing around with the fourth wall, and keeping in touch with other CO folks on a non-Cryptic channel than actual role playing, though.

(And why would I expect a DC production to not be synthphobic? Some days I feel like only Marvel gets me.)

Edit: I just tried an emoji, and it's working for me. Does anybody else see it?
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends

Because DC Comics isn't - they gave us the real Red Tornado, Cyborg, the Metal Men... They do seem to have a problem with technologically-enhanced humans in their movies and TV shows, though.
