Looking for easy solo missions to gain final levels

So I've leveled three or four characters to 40 now and I am noticing a pattern. Somewhere between level 37-39 I have exhausted all mission content as far as I can see that yields XP. This means I've done all the Vibora Bay and Monster Island missions. I haven't done ANY of the Lemuria missions because I hate that swim zone with a burning passion. But VB amd MI are exhausted.

Of course, there are still the repeatable collection quests, but I hate those too and this is why: with the collect 20 reports or similar, I have found the RNG to be extremely unreliable, to the point where I am defeating the right mobs in the right location, but 10 to 15 minutes pass by and I see not a single one of what I need to collect! It's a huge time suck, so I avoid the collection quests.

The last thing I try to avoid is unfun, difficult quests. I can build a halfway decent character, I almost always pick Regen for my passive, plus a full set of Armadillo's for 50% damage resistance. Add to that the most optimized powers I can pick and I do OK. That being said, I don't like standing toe to toe with a HUGE baddie like Terak and slugging it out for 20 minutes, I like missions I can speed through and get done, quickly beating anything in my path.

I especially don't like "challenge" - I play games to have fun, not to work and not to lose.

So this is my ultimate question: When I run out of the VB and MI missions, what do I do to keep leveling solo, while still avoiding Lemuria, collection quests, and particularly difficult content? Are there adventure packs or other repeatable quest that isn't to much of a challenge to solo? I don't need questionite or gear, just looking for laid back repeatable/farmable XP to help finish off those last few levels.

Thoughts? Thanks.

You're looking for level 37+ repeatable/farmable XP that you can solo, that isn't in Lemuria, isn't a collection quest, and isn't difficult content?

Well, Adventure packs are a lot of fun, but I've never found them to be a great source of XP gain. My advice is gonna be Grab Alerts. I know they aren't solo, but since most people don't even say "Hello" while running them, they might as well be solo missions (that you run with a handful of unpredictable, but lovable, NPCs  ) They're quick, repeatable, the XP is as good as an equivalent level mission, they're not in Lemuria, and most (if not all) are pretty easy. If you've exhausted every mission in MI and VB, I'm not sure what else to tell ya.

If you run out of missions before you hit 40, you're missing a lot of missions; I've gone from 37-40 while never leaving Vibora Bay. If you want easy, remember that you can do missions that are below your level for full xp.

Alerts tends to hit a little harder from what I have seen, plus my current character is a Mind guy that uses sleep to lock down baddies - that's not going to work at all in a team. ;)

Pantagrue - you can do missions below your level for full XP? I have a ton of missions I had thought I had outlevelled, grey mission around level 20. I thought grey missions rewarded no xp?

From what I recall, you still get all the normal rewards from lower level missions, though of course the xp reward will be based on the level of the mission (level scaling on xp isn't all that severe, though).

You still get the regular XP award for missions below your level.

I am guessing you missed many many missions on Monster Island. There are two higher-level mission chains there: Elder Worms story and Andrith Ruins story.

I routinely use those to get toons from level 37-40.

By the way, there are some collection missions, but you do those while pursuing other missions in the story.

I don't think I missed either mission set - they sound familiar, and also, I keep checking the Crime Computer and I don't see them there.

Rest until next douple XP event, grab some Alert XP Buff, some XP Buff consumables and run some stuff.

Well, several of them are level 41 or item drop missions, so they wouldn't show up (not that this helps you). For the most part the monster island quests involve moving clockwise around the edge of the island, starting at B17 and ending at the Silverback hologram in Andrith.

I did do a whole raft of missions that involved Andrith SIlverback and the guy next to him I think. And I definitely picked up mission from drops in MI as well.

However, the idea that pantagrue and others mentioned about going back and doing missions I had missed from lower levels is actually working. I'm doing some of the Canadian mid 20 level missions and I've gone from 39 to 39.25, so it's not superfast progress, but it may be fast enough. ;)

Did you do the whole Canada section that is level 33-36? The demon zone around Kigatilik?

Sorry those Monster Island missions didn't level you up enough. I guess I go in there at a higher level, or with a bunch of XP buffs.

Yup. This is my fourth character I've levelled (and my fourth time through Monster Island) so I don't *think* I am missing much.

I went back and did my lower level mish content (mid 20s) and gained half a level, so I only have half a level to go until 40. If my back is against the wall, not sure if I will make myself do some collection quests or make myself do Lemuria. Probably the former, but I hope I can avoid both. Maybe I will poke at some of the alert or story packs to find if they can be done without too much challenge.

Did you do the demonic infestation mission chain on Monster Island? It's one of my favorites.
It is in a volcanic vent near where Teleiosaurus spawns.
Demons keep popping out of this cave repeatedly.

Can't recall, but I will look for it - you don't happen to have coords for the mish starter I imagine?

This is the starting mission info, here

I am pretty sure you start the mission by going into the volcanic cave and beating some demons, or maybe just beating up some demons outside. I think the coordinates are (-574 210 861).

Don't forget that you can use you crime computer to quickly check contacts for missions. Just click each contact to check which missions are available to you. This also saves having to run all the way over to them as you can pick it up straight from the crime computer.

I typically run Adventure Packs (usually Resistance if solo) or fight Mechanon if I'm solo and fancy a challenge whilst levelling if I can't be bothered with contact based missions.

Yep, been hacking on the Crime Computer for some time, grin.

Is the Resistance Adventure Pack NOT a challenge fest? Is it like mission content? That might be good to know.

    Thanks.

Resistance is perfectly soloable on Elite with a decent toon, trivial with an optimized FF toon. Scaling down the difficulty makes it increasingly easier. (Especially if you're melee, because then you never have to fight and/or play hide-and-seek with a mega-destroid in the Create a Distraction part). Some of that is knowing what you're doing, of course, so it may help to run it with someone else once to get a feel for it. (Hit me up @squirrelloid, i love running Resistance, and I'll slow down to explain things to you).

The only fights that approach 'hard' for weaker characters, assuming you aren't trying to kill Mega Ds, is the last fight when the endbringer comes out, and it seems to not switch over to targeting player characters anymore, so shouldn't be that bad. (Melee will have to be able to survive taking some AoE hits occasionally, but you can snag healing by remembering the nearby resistance fighters toss healing boosters). Possibly the evil Kinetic/Sapphire fight too if you're squishy dps.

Other APs and Comic Series are also soloable.
-Demonflame may be the hardest, because the Left Hand can be really tough for weaker characters.
-SL requires some area awareness (for the roaming plane) and not attacking base commanders before you've cleared all the other mobs. SL at least used to (couple months ago) drop 1 q chest per player per player per boss (so 5 chests per player per boss with 5 people), so it really is better to play it as a group.
-Aftershock is pretty straightforward, but if you play on elite you'll have to be careful about which Avatar you choose - some of them can't do enough damage to solo Witchcraft + Defender (too much regen!) Queen Beyond the Pale is a good choice.
-It's been far too long since I played whiteout, but i don't recall anything difficult about soloing it.

also remember, not all contacts are on the crime computer. For example, the 33-36 yeti missions 2 contacts _The constable and talks to spirits are on the crime computer,
the other 2 yetis, plus pilot oveur are not.
so if you only get them from the crme computer, you are missing some.
