Curiosity on general AoE Ratings

Greetings all, and we'll just make this simple. '+'

What's the best AoEs around? Like. In general which AoEs do the largest amount of damage, have a large range, are able to be spammed constantly... generally just, out of all AoEs in the game, just which ones are the best? I ask in curiosity just to know, especially out of possible "Farm builds" made to kill everything as fast as possible, so. But that's possibly another topic.

    Large pbAoEs, for their ease of use and vast coverage: Epidemic, Lead Tempest, Hurricane, Shuriken Storm, Quicksand

    Long-range cylinders: Force Cascade (if ya can afford it), Typhoon, Gigabolt

    High dps spherical AoEs (not as large coverage, though): Conflag (backed by UA debuff), Lightning Storm, Avalanche

    Strong burst cds that are AoE: Strafing Run, Mental Storm, UR w/ an Enrage toggle, Fire All Weapons, TK Maelstrom

    others: Ricochet Throw from NW's Sneak, Skarn's Bane (if ya can afford it)

    melee: Sword Cyclone, EotS, Brimstone .. (that's it, imo)

    technically AoEs, but mostly used for single-target: Gauntlet Chainsaw, TK Lance, Skewer w/ adv


    If ur just going for AoE farming on easy trash mobs, then take a 15ft+ pbAoE (or use a vehicle if its outdoors).

    The easiest AoE's to level with are probably the ones that emanate centrally from the character such as Epidemic and Sword Cyclone. These allow you to simply run into groups of mobs or have them run into you, and simply hold down the button/key. No targeting even required. My level 40 farm build uses Epidemic in this manner to great effect. High damage, minimal effort.
