Unable to establish connection to patch server.

Title says it all. "If problem persist please contact technical support."
Of course, technical support is an interesting term when applied to CO, but I figured that I'd bring it up in the forums.
Problem is persistent, I've verified game cache files, I'm stuck.

    Same here, I don't know if the problem is because arc is doing something or if it is a internet problem. But we need answers.

    the servers are down for maintenance including the launcher

    Maintenance should be done by now. This problem is something else.

    Actually, I noticed that last night that the little banner at log-in/launcher listed the maintenance time today as something like 6 hours or rather I took note it was longer than usual AND that it would finish at roughly 12 noon their time (or 3 p.m. EST)...

    I still can't get in it goes 5 times then it dies and says it can't connect to the patch server.

    Honestly, I don't get it >.> I was able to get in last night. Are we going to have to reinstall the game entirely?

    The problem isn't at our end- it's at Cryptic's end.

    nice to see I'm not the only person having this problem. It's 4:07pm (Eastern time) and I'm still not able to log on.
    One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.

    One of the members of my supergroup died this week, and the rest of us are still getting answers from the person who is pretty much our only link in game. I hope that this issue is resolved soon.

    Finally got around to wanting to play again... and the entire day I have free I can't connect. Awesome.

    Saw where STO did network maintenance yesterday .. in the northeast (some load balancers in boston).. wondering if its related to that

    launcher works..but the maintenance is extended so late.... way to go~~
