Purple is Powerful (and no, not the New Gang.)

Purple...

Purple is the color of royalty. It is a color frequently associated with magic and the supernatural, romance, and mystery, as well as spirituality, the subconscious mind, and creativity.

From a scientific angle, it's the most energetic of visible wavelengths, being only a few relative steps short of things like x-rays and gamma radiation.

Purple is a color used in some holistic therapy for mental disorders, as viewing it is though to help balance the mind, since it is a blend of the calm coolness of blue and passionate heat of red.

Purple is often used as a stand-in for black in comics and animation. This is predominantly because purple is easier to shade quickly and thus give the appearance of three-dimensionality; solid black objects in animation would lack contours and look very flat.

It's also one of my favorite colors. Why? Because it has such great energy and depth of meaning, thus it can say so many things when worn or seen, depending on shade or saturation.

Even here in the game, purple has a potent presence, as the very first band of villains, and the first boss you encounter, in normal gameplay, is the "New Purple Gang" (which itself is named and styled in homage to the real-life East Harlem Purple Gang).

But how versatile is this royal hue, really?

That's where you folks come in. Magical, cosmic, spiritual, scientific, or psychic, I don't care in what style, but give me purple. Lots of purple. Get some real mileage out of that not-quite-farthest-right column on the color chart, that stack just east of blue and west of pink. Aside of base skintone, due to the obvious limitations on the skintone palette, see what you can come up using only the various shades in the purple column and the furthest-left greyscale column as your colors.

Serious or silly, I'm not picky. Paint it all Purple!

The costumes on the left are two existing ones on my main. The casual one features varying shades of purple for her clothing and accessories, while the cyberpunk like one is a mix of purples, greys and black. (Even the energy fields generated for the look are purple :P)

The one on the right I made in the challenge of everything being a shade of purple for another character Interplanet Janet (and yes, after that School House Rocks song haha) I'm a big fan of purple myself, it being in my top three favorite colors; with only yellow and green surpassing it.
