Maintenance 2/26 @ 6am PDT (Long Maintenance)

Hello folks, this week's going to be a long one. We're doing some needed infrastructure changes on the account server, updating it to play nice with the NW XBOX release. Because the account server will be down for that time, we'll need to stay down as well.

Maintenance is going to start a little early, but for safety's sake, we're putting the estimated duration at 6 hours, ending at noon. In theory it should go quicker, but last week's maintenance was a sharp reminder that these kinds of changes take time, and we'd rather assume a long maintenance than have it sprung on us.

    Since the length of the maintenance seems to be tied into NW's switch and not CO proper...I doubt it.

    so that'll be about 3pm for me, when I get home early on friday and then all evening.
    sounds like I'll be doing the next episode of RP by email.
    let's see how much trouble I can dump the party in
    wrong way round.

    After last week's account server maintenance, the Public Test Server remained down until yesterday. Assuming account server maintenance will bring it down this week as well: is the PTS scheduled to reopen the same day as the Live server, or should we expect it to be unavailable for longer?

    *EDIT* Looks like the PTS is alive and well. My mistake.

    Thank you and the rest of the development team for continuing to work on Champions Online.

    Nothing snarky or anything, I honestly mean it. CO is the last, best choice for super hero MMORPGs right now, and every opportunity I have to enjoy the game brings me pleasure. I've invested a lot, staying Gold instead of getting life-time, and buying many of the store items, and I hope to continue playing CO for a while to come.

    yes. If you have a stand alone CO launcher then theirs a blurb on the far left that says "server status". If that's green it's up. If it's red its down.

    That went well. Network stuff went without a hitch. Chat crashed once but it's back now, so we're giving it a few minutes to make sure it's stable. Then we'll open up.
