'Currency' upgrading?

Anyone know if there is somewhere we can 'upgrade' the currencies used in-game to a higher version?

What I mean by this is, can you take, say, UNTIL tokens and spend 5 to make one Silver Champions token.

I know you can downgrade (spend 1 UNTIL token to get multiple MCPD tokens), but what about upgrading?

Thx!

    Nope, no upgrades.

And downgrades are only 1 for 1, not multiples.

This is on purpose--it's simply too easy to get everything but Silver Champions Recognition.

Wish it was able to move upwards for exchange. Like 5 Recogs of the lower tier for 1 tier higher. I have so much lower tier recogs that I got everything from the vendors in under a few days when they were first introduced and now every one of my characters don't have any purpose for having them below Silver Champions.

It's not that hard to have a surplus of SCR, either; it's only a few hundred to get all the unlocks, and then 105 per set of heroic gear.

Not really, with a 10-1 exchange rate an trade up system would work fine.

right now theres no use for primus and MPCD recognition at 40 whatsoever once you have the unlocks, and that's not ok.

Considering how easy UNTIL recog is to get, I would suggest an even steeper exchange, like 25 to 1, or maybe 100 to 1.

In any case, once you've played a while, SCR won't mean much. You will eventually get the costume pieces and travel powers you want, and you might eventually get Legion or Justice gear instead of Heroic.

At that point, use SCR to buy and sell Heroic gear, or for the consumables.

    One Recognition.
    One Token.
    Change the Recognition Vendor prices.
    PROFIT.

    Good thing this ain't NW...

But since whole Recognition Store is an idea gone old. It's never going to change. Never.

That'd be amazing if I could upgrade all of my UNTIL rec to SCR. I had it maxed out on one of my toons and I know a few others have hundreds of it. What would be even better is to get rid of all the rec, turn it into globals and just let players use globals to buy rec stuff.

Alternately, just make it so all our various excess currency tokens can be converted to resources. Say, 125N for SCR, 25N for Until, 5N for Primus, 1N for MCPD. There's probably other currencies that could be converted as well.

    1. Buy healing items/resources/etc.,
    2a. Resources list on AH
2b. Sell healing items (or even use them!)
    3. ????? (obligatory)
    4. PROFIT!

It IS annoying once you've got all the items and travel powers, but I've been playing for 18 months, and I'm still only halfway through the Silver costume pieces. Probably because Aiko is ALWAYS wanting to take part in costume contests instead of letting me gather Silver tokens (She's such a brat!).

Years ago I made a suggestion to use the Bank in game to convert all other currencies into G's. The conversion would have been up to the Dev's and what they thought was fair.

It was shot down pretty quick.

    Funny how things happen...

If they originally made all those rewards purchasable through Resources, then all the players who have oodles of it (IE exploiters) would simply log on, purchase and log off. They want bodies in the game and have the numbers of people farming the tokens to show people are playing the new content.

Though Mechanon missions completely contradict this since there's no reason to play after buying all the unlocks. But that's a confusing mess of an outlier. Emphasis on the error.

I'm curious. What Tokens are people farming? And I mean long term farming.

I know players farm G's for Keys and back and forth.

It just seems that once you buy all the stuff with all the different resources. You can ignore them after that. The only one I keep "farming" is Silver Recognition and that's at a very casual level.

I don't farm any of the rec, I just have a ton of it. SCR stuff is the only stuff worth selling on the AH. Everything else is crap. I use a ton of those heally patches and I still keep gaining more worthless currency. I only buy the patches from the rec venders to try and get rid of currency. It's not like there aren't heals available for purchase with globals that I could buy instead.

I spend all my rec on mods.

Pretty much what you said. I have all the stuff from the lower recs, so I don't farm them anymore. When I level a new character, I pic the rec option from quest rewards, then when I hit 40 I convert everything into mods at the vendors.

Silver Rec only when I need to gear up a new 40 (and sometimes not even then... my last two characters are wearing blue and green auction house/quest gear).

The only time I farm them is as a side effect of me deciding it would be fun to just run around and kill whatever I run into.
