Laser sword... which Stat does it use?

It's a melee attack, but it does particle damage. Does it base its damage on Str or Ego? Same question for Sparkstorm.

Sorry if the question sounds stupid. Can anyone help me?

    Laser Sword is classed as melee and scales normally w/ Str and melee bonuses.

    Sparkstorm is classed as ranged and scales normally w/ Ego and ranged bonuses.

    The type of damage (slashing, toxic, dimensional, etc) does not in itself dictate the type of scaling a power has- some types are just more predisposed to having melee vs. ranged moves (or contain only ranged_melee powers coincidentally).

    laser sword is buffed by enrage, MA forms, Night Warrior, Str, AoED and Electric Form as well as any active offense. it is buffed by other toggles(except IDF of course) as well to a lesser degree

    Sparkstorm is buffed by storm bringer, Ego,AoED,Nightwarrior, concentration and electric form as well as any active offense. it is buffed by other toggles(except IDF of course) as well to a lesser degree.

    both are indirectly buffed by crits and Aopm
