Release Notes: Why you not in Launcher linky??

It's time to ask the powers that be again...

How come the latest Patch Notes in the official link in the game launcher are from May 22nd?

I know this is a day and age of 'InyourFacebook' and sending 'Twits' as the first lines of communication for news about the game. But hey, at least update the link in the actual Launcher too!!

Sure would be nice to be able to click that link and get some CURRENT Patch Notes.

twits? we have lots of those.
twitter I don't use.

I just check the forums for patch notes, since that's where they normally are

this has been asked and answered several times - main reason is time restrictions on TT/community management staff. The post to the forum as that is most convenient for them.

So change the link in the laiuncher to point to:

instead of:
http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/champions-online/news/tag/co-patch-notes

Minor to you.

An embarrassment to the company who runs the game. (looks like the game hasn't seen an update since Spring.)

A major pain for those of us who don't use social media and would like the link in the Launcher to actually give us CURRENT information (instead of having to track it down five ways to Sunday). It's the whole point of having that link there! :rolleyes:

Minor. There's patch notes, just not a link on the launcher. It's really not that big a deal to check the boards. It doesn't mess with the game at all, it still plays the same way. There's such a crapton more wrong with the actual game that this is a piffle.

er. I don't use social media and I have NO trouble locating it.

I go to forums, and see at the top SUPER NEWS NETWORK > PATCH NOTES
usually on a Thursday(Australia time) sometimes Friday.


how is this "five ways to sunday"?

yes , it involves more than just clicking a link on login, which transfers you to the forums
it involves clicking a link on my bookmarked page, which transfers me to the forums.

Frankly, I haven't seen them put up any patch notes on Facebook, and looking over the posts for the last couple of months, I see nothing of the kind. Maintenance notices, sure, but not patch notes.

Haha Indeed After spending an hour trying to find the patch notes on Facebook Mike pointed out I had read the OP's post wrong

Seems obvious to me that if the launcher is the one thing every CO player needs to use to play the game, the launcher should be the primary source of release notes, even if the link leads to a forum page.
