You know how party bomb can make everyone in a radius of the target dance?
How about just a good old fashion spontaneous cheer emote from the whole group?
Something I can use in alerts that doesn't look like every alert team is from the Dangerous Disco Dimension.

Ahh the old Disco Dimension not a nice place to be in. but humm the devices are a nice idea, but they can be used for trolling, so I'll pass on this

While we are at this, lets also throw in a random device that forces people to use the /killme command.

... you know thier will always be trolls, we can either deal with them, or ignore them or report them when nessecery.

thier is no needto be so negative.

Every game i've ever played has devices like this.

The human species in SWTOR has a power thats exactly this called Rally, basically humans can make all those around them (npc, players, companions) Cheer.

I like this idea, it would be fun for things like costume contests when winners are announced too heh. And as far as not liking it being used on your characters, just tap a movement button and you are no longer cheering... no harm no foul.

Transdimensional Phase-Inducer: You and the people you are grouped with are the only ones any of you can see, and nobody else can see you. You cannot see the physical models, power usages, or chat for anyone else, and neither can they see yours, and you can also not be affected by anything they do, nor can you be challenged to duels, and of course you can't affect them in any way either. If someone you cannot see attacks an npc, you will not see any power effects but the npc will still be effected normally. This effect lasts so long as the device is activate; the device is a toggle. If anyone leaves the party, the effects on them stop immediately and they join the rest of the world in being unable to see or be seen by you.

For people who hate the MM in MMO.

The fact they can make you start cheering in the first place is the harm and foul.

We do not need more of these troll toys until we have a way to make ourselves completely immune to them.

The rights of your fun end at the nose of another player's fun.

Unless it makes you dance at home then I'm all for this device. And bringing back the increasing enlarge on Draysha, it was the only fun thing about that device.

You can troll with vehicles, jet boots, jet pack, teleport, acrobatics, light speed, bugs, ooze, clouds, bats, being idle in an alert or team. Someone in this thread, for instance, has trolled me with duel requests and that heal power that forces the other player to emote.

If we are going to stop having things for fear of trolls we are not going to have a game.

I just don't understand what's so hurtful about seeing your character dance or cheer. Is it embarrasing?

It breaks character/spoils immersion/I cannot retaliate by disintegrating them with eye lasers for their impertinence.

    You know, RP stuff.

Or they just find it annoying for some reason or another... and trolls feed on annoyance, so it causes a never ending deluge of water balloons and party bombs because neither party can help themselves.

    This is just speculation.

As for me, sure lets have a cheer device...sounds like fun. It won't suddenly make more trolls appear, at worst it will only add a little more variety for the ones that already exist.
