Is SB Worth Having?

I've read many old posts saying that SB is weak. They say that if you like swords, use DB. If you like bleeds, bestial is faster.

When I read SB builds, they usually have many powers from other powersets.

I get the impression that I would need an AOE from a different powerset. I would need to use a DB power and imagine that it is SB, or say that he has a fire sword or something else.

Does anyone like SB?

    I blame Shred

SB is really good boss dmg, and stylish to boot .. it has to outsource to cover its main weaknesses (no shredded, poor AoE reach) and its best asset is still stuck being inferior to an easier FF option (Shred + Enrage toggle + Rupture). Kinda wish it were better so we'd see less Shred users around.

SB is low DPS alright, but one thing SB does better than DB is it lets you use Aspect of the Bestial so you can stat Str which gives you the very nice Juggernaut spec and synergy with Con. Of course, Shred/Massacre does the same thing and does more DPS because of the very useful Shredded debuff.

SB is unique in that it gives you Rush and Bleed refresh at the same time. However, the two effects don't really agree with each other. Bleed favours primary Str which has the better spec tree and lets you use the third stat for something other than Dex. Rush on the other hand needs Focus which means statting Dex, but once you go down the Dex route you might as well go DB or Claws.

If it could proc Bleed-Enrage and Rush at the same time that would open some pretty interesting options...
