A capoeistra is a practitioner of capoeira, right?

If so, I was going to do a Dodge tank build with:

    - Dragon Kick
    - Lunging Kick
    - Thundering Kicks
    - Lightning Reflexes
    - Elusive Monk
    - DEX and Con as SS

I think your capoeira idea is cool. When I considered this collection of powers, I was considering something that could possibly dodge tank Frosticus, and putting the pieces together, my own thought was a break-dancing warrior.

Yes, a capoeistra is a practitioner of capoeira.

May I suggest to find a way to plug Thunderclap in? Apparently, there's a technique in capoeira named ''Telefone'' where you clap your hands to disorient your enemies with a chance to permanently ruin their hearing.

yup. I was one during my experimental undergrad years. Was fun, but I liked it more for the style and routines than the actual fighting (cause I'm a softie at heart).

A ginga stance would be great, as would other MA poses outside of using some powers, but I digress :X

Yeah, since it already uses unarmed MA heavily and is supposed to be heavy dodge-based for theme, it def could tank Frosty better than most other themed builds.

I'd also throw Tides in that list since its basically a back-circling rasteira- could be used for the CS debuff and KU. Mighty Kick is like a bencao (front push kick)- could be used for the Defiance stack.

This game could use a drop kick of some kind. That'd be fun.

Okay, so far, here's what I came up with:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name: Capoeistra

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6:
    Level 10:
    Level 15:

    Talents:
    Level 1:
    Level 6:
    Level 9:
    Level 12:
    Level 15:
    Level 18:
    Level 21:

    Powers:
    Level 1: Vicious Strikes
Level 1: Thundering Kicks (Floating Lotus Blossom)
Level 6: Thunderbolt Lunge (Nailed to the Ground)
Level 8: Lightning Reflexes (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Inexorable Tides (Challenging Strikes)
Level 14: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki)
    Level 17: Masterful Dodge
Level 20: Parry (The Elusive Monk)
    Level 23: Mighty Kick (Madness)
    Level 26: Thunderclap (Collateral Damage)
Level 29: Form of the Master (Storm's Eye Prana)
Level 32: Crashing Wave Kick (Subtlety of the Tides)
Level 35: Dragon Kick (Lashing Dragon Tail)
    Level 38: Intensity

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Athletics
    Level 35:

    Specializations:

I know, there's stuff missing. Which is where you come in:

-What will be it's primary super stat and it's two secondary ones?
    -What will be it's talents?
    -His specializations?
-Where should I spend my remaining 9 advantage points?
    -His second travel power?
    -His mastery?

You have a couple options here for the other aspects of the build. I'll give ya a more generalized one taking advantage of Str PSS"s perks and going a more dps/tank hybrid route.

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name: Capoeistra

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Master
    Level 6: Acrobat
    Level 9: Physical Conditioning
    Level 12: Martial Focus
    Level 15: Impresario
    Level 18: Quick Recovery
    Level 21: Relentless

    Powers:
    Level 1: Vicious Strikes
Level 1: Thundering Kicks (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Form of the Master (Storm's Eye Prana)
Level 8: Lightning Reflexes (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Crashing Wave Kick (Subtlety of the Tides, Crippling Challenge)
Level 14: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki)
Level 17: Inexorable Tides (Rank 2, Challenging Strikes)
Level 20: Thunderbolt Lunge (Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 23: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 26: Parry (The Elusive Monk)
    Level 29: Masterful Dodge
    Level 32: Thunderclap (Collateral Damage)
Level 35: Dragon Kick (Rank 2)
    Level 38: Mighty Kick (Madness)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Athletics (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Swinging

    Specializations:
    Strength: Swole (2/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Warden Mastery (1/1)

Crashing Wave Kick is ur taunt/CripC debuffer here since you'll also be using it for the dodge buff. This means ya can max rank TK for better dmg and dodge from it. Tides for CS and some AoE-CC, DK for Rush, TC for the AoE reach and stun, Mighty Kick for Defiance. The build will play pretty chaotically, but could be fun juggling everything (dodge buffs, debuffs), and you'll look cool doing it.

Although Str is the PSS, you'll still want to gear mostly for Con and Dex here. Swinging was added just cause its acrobatic- though ya can also pick up its special adv if you prefer using it oevr athletics in combat.

If you want a build more focused on taking on Frosticus, you may have to do a bit of tweaking (adding EM over one of the 'flavor' attacks to reach 100% dodge easily, adding another AD like Resurgence or Unbreakable, possibly taking Protector for Bulwark and the AD reduction, etc). Ya can always see monsterdaddy's thread on 100% dodge builds to get more a ref on that:

Since you inserted MSA in, I assume I'll have to gear up in Intelligence too.

    Probably not. You have Rush.

Then why flowcyto hooked me up with MSA, who scales it's energy gain with Int?

Anyway, is Lashing Dragon Tail (Dragon Kick's 2 adv. points) affected by diminishing returns?

MSA is still fine even w/o gearing for Int. Sometimes its the only really viable EU for melee, but yeah since you have Rush ya dun really need to gear Int for energy issues (at least at lvl 40)- MSA is just a bit of extra energy for naturally using ur cd powers, like BCR, TC, MD, or the lunge.

And yeah the lashing tail adv is subject to avoidance DR- its why I didn't opt for it over rank3 if you have r3 WotW (+potentially avoidance gear) already.

Actually, I was thinking of a diff build- sorry. Yours is LR-based. So you prob dun really need any extra avoidance geared at all- rank3 LR puts you quite heavy into it. I'd just gear dodge (not exceeding 100% if you can maintain that amount) and health/Defense. Crits are mostly just for dps/threat, but is fine for offensive gear slots. If ya want more survival there ya can gear +heal% in offensive and CD reduction in utility slots.
