Besides, the trees in this game tend to get cursed more than regarded as "everyday heroes". It's hard to appreciate something that entangles you the way it would a kite as you're trying to Swing your way from one place to another...
"Science teaches us to expect -- demand -- more than just eerie mysteries. What use is a puzzle that can't be solved? Patience is fine, but I'm not going to stop asking the universe to make sense!"

I was going to make him in a Hawaiian getup but I changed my mind. My everyday hero is Trailturtle in his underwear and bathrobe out by his unmanly smart car.

I DRIVE A HONDA FIT THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Gather 'round, folks, we've got awards to hand out!

    Most Creative:

sistersilicon, with Booker Blaze! Sister, I hope you're using this character in-game, because not only is it a very polished costume (both of them), it's a great concept and story.

guardianettie, with Dr. Chiyoko. What really sells this for me is how much the clothes look like smocks -- you chose the perfect pieces and colors to make it work.

    Most Entertaining:

ninjapiff, with The Cryptic Game Developer! Our ego has been fed! Just... no love for those of us on the publishing end?

mrhinkypunk, with the plant monster! The first thing this reminded me of was Retina Regular, from back in the day -- a concept that creeps you out, but is just wildly funny. The tendrils as eyes is hilarious.

    Random Winner: Congrats to thejimbo27!

All five winners are going to be getting an Iris Irregular AF -- keep an eye out, CS will be applying those permissions to you guys soon. Congrats everyone, and thanks for showcasing your everyday heroes!

I'm sorry. And all this time, I thought you were a guy.

I don't trust cars that I can destroy with my motorcycle. Without falling over.

    WOOHOO! Thanks, guys!

I already won an Iris AF from the Fatal Err0r livestream, so I'm putting this one up for grabs. (I was going to nominate Cybersoldier1981 for his TT costume, but since he is in a small-car-bashing mood, this Mini driver won't let him have it.)

/runs off to invent wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey excuse for 1970s Booker to appear in 2014 Millennium City.
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends

I doubt you could fit the figure in the car to bring it to me IRL.

SOLD! TT, can you hook an android up here?

I could, but I can't get away from the office. I'll have this guy drop it off next time the Dallas Mavericks are in town.

Tell him to leave the car, he can keep Iris figure. Traily would understand.

Gratz to all the winners. Especially to sistersilicon, who nailed it and deserved the win and IMHO is the best by far.

Base, and white with a layer of dirt.

Cyber: Heh, but honestly, I just needed a car that'll never die. It may not be beefy, but I've spent basically nothing on maintenance, beyond the usual check-ups. Mileage is pretty good, too. She treats me pretty well.

Nice, glad you guys are in a gifting mood -- I'll tell CS to unlock it on Cyber's account.

winners were picked subjectively based on the preferences of the judges (Devs/CM). A lot of people put in really good entries and didnt win. Better luck next time.

BTW When do the Figures arrive? Cant wait to have my little iris following me. (Thanks Again Sister Silicon :D )

The costume entries were really good in their own right, despite not really being "every day" hero material.

On that note, the winning choices make me feel that the contest theme should have been named "Random" heroes.

Heh, well it wouldn't be much of a costume contest if somebody didn't complain about the winners.

I agree, from one point this stoped being "Every Day" Hero themed and turned into complete Randomness and Exhibition

Oh well, still Congratulations for the winners :D
I'm looking forward for Mrhinkypunk's plant monster Action Figurine~!
