Auras!

This video has all the auras, both new and legacy, in their default colors. All legacy auras are in their default Rank 3 varieties. Maybe someday I'll go about getting all the ranks in. But in the meantime, watch some auras and enjoy some music that you probably won't enjoy because you're all weird.

    Thanks for the video Smackwell, it's short and concise.

    This kind of video should be accessible IG through the Aura NPC. Or add a buff stack with the name of the aura displaying during it cycles. Or a system of IG tuto like in the powerhouse or craft.

    Great work, Biff! Can't wait for the separate fiery auras to go live - I need the fists! And eyes, too. I'm tired of using Heirloom secondaries.

    Oh! This is nice! One question though, where do we get the Fire Aura/Skin? It's not on the Aura Vendor or in C-Store. Is it a reward somewhere?

    The fire aura, fire skin, electric aura and snow storm are all currently PTS only. There hasn't been any announcement yet as to how they will be released.

    well at least now I know what myEgo Form aura is supposed to be like. Too bad I can't see it.

    It MUST be my settings, I've got characters with Pestilence and I've never seen the little fliers for that either.

    I can see the orbiters in mystic flight but I don't seem to be able to see them as part of an aura. Oh well.
    Bingo, someone pointed me at the right sliders.
    anyone having trouble seeing the ego form aura, FX quality must be on medium or high

    Hmm, Defiance has the same aura as Ego Form? Was that the case before this patch? I haven't used my Defiance toon in a while so I don't remember what aura effect it had.

    Aww, that's a bit of a letdown. Still, at least there's something to look forward to while waiting.

    Although the Electric Aura looks almost exactly like the Electric Form aura, toned down to Level 1. (That's what I put on Short Circuit. Looks cool.)

    Can't wait for the Fire aura - that's exactly what I was looking for to go with Backfire! Although I suppose that'll be one of those released through the C-Store, and I'll have to scrape up 475 Zen for it...

    Nicely edited and your soundtrack choice didn't make me want to kill myself, so thanks for the video! (way too many gameplay things out there just have some crazy-intense death metal and it drives me nuts)

    Way more concise than mine(which makes sense- very different types of videos), and certainly better for viewing the auras. I'll be bookmarking that for when I forget what aura is what.

    Can someone make a gallery of screenshots out of that, though? It would be nice to have a 'chart' handy for this kind of thing.

    Snowflake Cloud. Is that the same effect that is on all of our Heroes now to simulate the make it seem as if it is snowing for the Winter Event?

    I agree, I chose some auras not knowing precisely what they looked like.. this would be great to add to the game so people know what they are purchasing. Its nice that the legacy vendor shows them but she doesn't give a description of which one is showing at a particular time.

    Basically, yeah, but the in-game 'weather effect' is a much larger area than the Snowflake Cloud aura itself.

    Yup. That thread was me. I'm not on the Test Server, so it's missing a few.

    I guess, I could make a few screen caps from Smackwell's vid to fill in what's missing, but I'll wait a little while and see if any other heroes fill in the gaps with heroes of their own.

    Unstickying the Auras video and the Nemesis Minions thread, since they're no longer timely. If people want them stickied, shoot me ideas of where they should go, which subforum.

    Well, you could move it to Costumes and Concepts and sticky it there.

    Makes more sense for it to be there than under Discussion.

    Hey, TT,

    You might want to re-sticky this thread since Smackwell keeps updating the video in the OP.

    And as mentioned before, it might be better suited for the Costumes and Concepts forum. :smile:

    Really? Hmm... I don't remember it having anything but the default, freebie auras when you originally posted it. :confused:
