And, what kind of power is it ? Is it a block, and active defense or what exactly ?

Sorry for the stupid question, but i have seen some numbers for that skill in many threads, but never read what it really is

    Apparently, it's a block.

No, it's a block that gives Dodge and Avoid instead of any resists. And by any resists I'm including the 200% that you'd get with no block replacer. It's the least likely thing on PTS to make it to live without a complete redesign.

It also has an advantage that lets the dodge bonus last for a few seconds if you hold the block down long enough. I'm not sure how that works, but as I said this thing isn't going to live unless they completely redo it.

More like the Dodge version of Ebon Void's Voracious Darkness advantage last I checked.

To the OP's question (and taking it far more seriously than Finn intends.)

If I could survive the Gadroon in Canada post-launch, I don't think I'll have problems surviving this nerf. I'll die a few more times and adjust. and maybe scream at the screen a little more often. But I've never sweated the numbers too much. It won't affect my playstyle.

    Hear, hear.

Man were the Gadroon a pain in the butt back in the day.

Ah .. sounds totally stupid to me .. change the 200% against just a higher dodge chance ?

The Archetypes are very likely to get looked at sometime after the dodge changes go live. They need to collect data on how it performs. So if you can provide your detailed experiences with that Archetype, feel free to post your feedback on the PTS threads.

My main started out as a Master AT and still has the same passive, buff form, and most of the powers of a Master AT...

My dodge was 69.1 yesterday, when I was on for a few minutes this morning it was 65.5...

still up past %100 dodge pretty fast when I used a few thundering kicks.

Finn wasn't actually the OP.... this post was started during the switch to daylight savings time, so post #8 is actually the OP.

If that was the case and what is mentioned in post #8 is in fact true, then I have several issues with how dodge nerfing is being handled.

No, spinnytop was making fun of the "DOOOOM!" surrounding the changes. Defensive passives are still there, and will not be going anywhere.

You can use thundering kicks to hit 100% dodge without having any bonus dodge at all.

I think the important bit was that his Master only lost 3.6% standing Dodge.

Sure you could but it would take awhile and it starts over as soon as you dodge an attack..I get it up there way waay faster :D

I would hope so, you would have a 60% chance headstart.

Yep I would say it is a perfectly reasonable head start for a character with a dodge passive!
