This second try at an Arcane Clarity build (see http://co-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=136411) has been far more effective and a blast (hehe) to play.

This hero is all about using long-cooldown and high cost powers as often as possible. It's fun to bust out Fire All Weapons and Implosion Engine multiple times during a fight.

PowerHouse (Link to this build)

Name:

Archetype: Freeform

Super Stats:
Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

Talents:
Level 1: The Invincible
Level 6: Field Ops Training
Level 9: Boundless Reserves
Level 12: Investigator
Level 15: Healthy Mind
Level 18: Command Training
Level 21: Survival Training

Powers:
Level 1: Eldritch Bolts
This is a respec build (probably obviously). I chose this energy builder because it just made power choices easier in the beginning. The proc is nice too. You will definitely want to get a shot in between each of your other attacks to proc Revitalize from the Intelligence Tree.

Level 1: Aura of Arcane Clarity (Rank 2, Rank 3)
This is what this hero is built around. To try to see if I could make a viable one using this passive. I think it's a ton of fun and has some survivability.

Level 6: Eldritch Shield
This is just because I needed another power and it helps to turtle behind it and throw out your clickies as needed if you get in a pinch.

Level 8: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
This is a great power to start off any fight as it starts your Molecular Self-Assembly going to get you energy. After the start of a fight, though, it's nice to have a decent heal every three seconds. It won't stand against a tough assault, but it's good otherwise.

Level 11: Molecular Self-Assembly
The energy unlock that works quite well with all of the cooldowns you'll have.

Level 14: Unbreakable
With the cooldown reductions you'll have you'll be able to have this or Electric Sheath up pretty much all the time. There is a hole between times using Nanobot Swarm, but still pretty nice.

Level 17: Electric Sheath (Matter ? Energy Union)
Offense and Defense in one. I use this one first before Unbreakable typically.

Level 20: Fire All Weapons (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Fun, fun, fun. The only drawback to many of these attacks is if someone is constantly knocking you around.

Level 23: Orbital Cannon (Rank 2, Anvil of Dawn)
This is your starter and main filler between your big attacks.

Level 26: Concentration
A boost to damage since you'll need to be in Hybrid or Support roles.

Level 29: Typhoon (Rank 2, Rank 3)
This is good cleanup if people scatter or everything else is on cooldown. It's also fun to basically spam this high cost attack.

Level 32: Nanobot Swarm (Rank 2, Rejuvinating Injectors)
The additional reduction is nice to reset the big powers and a heal to boot.

Level 35: Implosion Engine (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Your other big cooldown attack power. Fun, fun, fun.

Level 38: Palliate (Rank 2, Absolve)
With all these big attacks it's important to have this aggro dump, which can come up more than once a fight.

Travel Powers:

Level 6: Lightning Flash (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Power Flight

Specializations:
Intelligence: Enlightened (3/3)
Intelligence: Tactician (2/2)
Intelligence: Revitalize (3/3)*
Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
Protector: Unrelenting (2/2)
Protector: Exhausting Strikes (2/2)
Protector: Defensive Expertise (3/3)*
Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (2/3)
Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)*
Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
Mastery: Protector Mastery (1/1)*
* These are the talents that are key to this build. The others are whatever you want.
