Two Builds I'm Trying for

(CoX refugee, clueless as to how many of the formulas work in CO)

OK, I've got a conventional Invincible, what should I take as specializations, and what advantages and talents should I take, assuming I want to maximize my firepower AND survivability, and what gear?

Challenging Strike is DEFINITELY going to stay on Plasma Beam in Tank mode (I've found that Plasma Beam with CS is "ALL YOUR AGGRO ARE BELONG TO ME"), and I have MORE than enough AoEs without adding one to Tac Missiles.

And, I have a conventional Behemoth, I want her to be a bullet-sponging tank (can you get 15000 HP and still be useful? Can you get to 20k?)

And what if I free-form them? I still want to keep the same power sets, but I'd want to have a more protected Invincible (maybe PFF?) and a more DPS versions (maybe bots from gadgeteering? and drop the Challenging Strikes).

The Behemoth, I'll probably add some of the chain attacks for a bit of variety if I go freeform, but will mostly be the same.

conventional Invincible, what should I take as specializations, and what advantages and talents should I take, assuming I want to maximize my firepower AND survivability, and what gear?

I'm not too familiar with the ATs but this is a pretty broad question. It depends, basically, on what you want to do... I almost always try to get Dodge/Avoid gear just because even on a non-dodge character, it helps... certainly more than an extra few points of Crowd Control resistance or something.

For Talents, I usually just pick the three two-stat talents for my three superstats (like EGO-DEX, EGO-REC and DEX-REC)... and then I sometimes pick the multi-stat talents that have non-superstats that are still useful like CON, REC and END.

Advantages are wildly dependent on what power you're talking about and what you want to do.
conventional Behemoth, I want her to be a bullet-sponging tank (can you get 15000 HP and still be useful? Can you get to 20k?)

I don't know if it's possible or not - I don't think I've ever had a character with more than 10,000 hp but then I've never really TRIED either ---- at some point, the extra hit points just let you last a LITTLE bit longer and you'd be better off focusing more on doing enough damage to END the fight while you still have hit points left.
a more protected Invincible (maybe PFF?)

While PFF has been improved, it's still dependent on you defeating the foes before your shields fall, so you'd need to be able to pump out some decent damage, too. And with PFF, I wouldn't worry about hit points --- if your PFF drops, you got nothing except raw hit points which will go away FAST.
more DPS versions (maybe bots from gadgeteering? and drop the Challenging Strikes).

Munition Bots can be a nice extra boost but of course they also drain your energy. A damage-augmenting Form would be a nice thing to have, as well as some active offense abilities, perhaps.
The Behemoth, I'll probably add some of the chain attacks for a bit of variety if I go freeform, but will mostly be the same.

Again, not too familiar with the ATs, but I read where Defensive Combo (I think) is being boosted and will have an 8-ft range AoE added to its third strike...

    Re: PFF
Nvm, not taking it, forgot it was a passive.

    Re: Forms and Slotted Buffs
Base Invincibles come with Concentration for a damage buff form, and I find that its a really good power for the powerset.

I'm thinking about adding Lock n Load for an Active Offense on both the tank and the DPS, with Targeting Computer as the Slotted Buff on the DPS.

    Re: High-HP Behemoth
This is more of a concept character than something I'll seriously play, but I want this one to be an uber muscle-tank like that guy from DC. Though I do want it to have the ability to do content, of course.

    About behemoth and HP.

It is possible to have more then 15k HP. Isn't that difficult actually. If you will go freeform you can achieve it in 2 different ways.

First way, take STR as first SS and take that mastery that will increase your DEF the more CON you have, then take CON as one of the second SS and fully(or almost fully) gear for CON. Basicly get 6 mods for CON only(or atleast 5 of them). That will get both your HP and DEF to a stratosphere(ofc, if you will have some gear utilization masteries in other masterie trees).

Another way, take CON as first SS and learn that masteries that additionally increases you HP by 0,5, 1,0 1,5 HP for every point of CON you have. And as in first one it will maximize your HP.

How effective it will be, don't know. Will it be playable? Ofc it will be. You will have no problems tanking alerts and completing most of the mission in the game solo. Will it be most or all and will it be on normal difficulty or on elite, completely depends on your power choices.

Ow, and one more thing, it's called slotted passive, or just passive, how we call it, not slotted buff. You can call it the way you want, but some people might get confused.

To each his own, but I found Targeting Computer to be not that great - by the time it "locked on", the foe was already defeated and I had to wait for it to lock on to the next target, who was, again, defeated by the time the Lock On occurred.

Of course, it's possible they altered the way it works since I last tried it, and it's possible the base always-on effects of it (before the Lock on) are still worthwhile... most offensive passives seem to favor a particular damage type (like ice, ego, melee, physical, etc) which can make picking one tricky.
