Can someone explain this?

Ever since I got all the no-timer pets on a single character I gain an unnatural amount of agro. Seriously. I was in a group with a healer who had healing aura. The mobs ignored them and honed in on the guy using EB and a Shield.

    I'm not sure how healing aggro's versus dps, but my healer does the same. I just assume that the aura is putting out enough healing against multiple targets that the system hones in on it as a threat, like when someone is out DPSing the tanks taunts.


    Fully assumed, though, so i couldn't say for sure but my healer (with pets and aura) DOES seem to take a lot of hits, tank or not.

    Some of the sidekicks and pets can dole out quite a bit of damage. But usually they draw the aggro to themselves rather than to me. But not always and at a guess those are the times I have out-damaged them.

    Other times it seems that whomever fires the first shot gets, and tends to keep, aggro.
