Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat) Dual Passive Build Help

edited June 2021 in Builds and Roles
Hello Guys, so I have been trying to build a ice ninja who is mostly unarmed attacks. My goal is be able to seamlessly (arguably) go from melee dps to tank depending on what role needs to be filled and if im solo or grouping. I have frankensteined not a complete build, but im am looking for help to close it out. In the additional notes are some questions that I can place here.

1. Do I have enough healing with Conviction and Kunai with adv to tank comfortably?
2. Which toggle is better, FotTiger or FotTempest?
3. What is a good ice aoe that I can use for quick challenge application and/or CC?
4. If not, any good aoes that have a "pull to" adv that I can maybe change the color to look like ice?

Pretty barebones if someone wants to fill out the rest as I am not really good wit the talents and specializations.

So, it looks like your are really a melee MA character but your are going to tint your colors to be icey and will take some appropriate auras to give a semblance of ice/snow? That can work. Here's one way to do it. I put in Dragon Upper Cut so that you could have a main attack that does not have Challenge on it, but you can swap things around how you like. Fractal Aegies is a legit Ice power that can help you grab aggo. To tank you really need Resurgence. I put in Parry for the block, but you can put anything in and color it as your like. Moonstruck (if you have it unlocked) can give you a HoT and another way of applying Challenge as a tank.

Hey Jaaz, first thanks for helping me with this. I took your suggestions and tweak them a bit. just for some explanation, and possibly correction, I decided to switch out DU back with Chained Kunai and took challenge off of BCF. My idea here is when I am tanking I'll tap kunai to refresh aggro on ST fights and can still use BCF, hopefully the inner peace adv takes up the slack where the moonstruck healing was used. Also, I wanted to add one more active actual Ice power AOE for the mob aggro so I added Avalanche with challenge and serrated shards to interact with the EU.

    Thoughts?

At moment you have Wall of Ice and not Avalanche (and you don't have the adv points atm for Serrated Shards). In any event, neither Ice power will proc Steadfast, which only works with MA powers.

Thank you for pointing out the serrated misstep. I've thus removed it and have 2 points left. Any thoughts?

On FotTiger vs FotTempest: FotTiger would be more reliable here, unless you're using TKicks or Avalanche often (and it looks like you shouldn't be). FotMaster could also work (and TKicks can still proc it even w/ the Demolish adv if you take the Lotus Blossom adv as well), but I may still use FotTiger here. Also, you typically don't want to rank up your toggle/form. I would rank up your most-used travel power, though, and if you have any spare adv points after that then they could go into Dragon Kick and/or TKicks.

If you want a quick AoE challenge tag that's still Ice themed, then I may change Avalanche to Shatter w/ Challenge. Even though Shatter isn't a great dps AoE, for a tank it's nice in that it's a quick tap that covers a very wide frontal arc. Also, Shatter not working w/ the form and/or EU shouldn't matter as much if it's mostly just used to help pickup scattered mobs.
