Help with a Teddy Bear Toy Build

benoitseanbenoitsean Posts: 322 Arc User
I want to create a teddy bear character. A living mechanical toy that looks like a teddy bear with patches of fur missing to show the mechanical parts on the inside. I was thinking of maybe something like this:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Any / Multiple)
v3.44:36

Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
Level 10: Presence (Secondary)
Level 15: Dexterity (Secondary)

Level 9: Finesse (Dex: 5, Pre: 5)
Level 12: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
Level 15: Lasting Impression (Pre: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 18: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)

Level 1: Bestial Fury
Level 1: Frenzy (Fear Sense, Poison Tipped Claws)
Level 6: Supernatural Power
Level 8: Aura of Primal Majesty (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Pounce
Level 14: Support Drones (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 17: Attack Toys (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Inertial Dampening Field (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Munitions Bots (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Devour Essence (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 29: Antagonize (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 32: Imbue
Level 35: Thundering Return
Level 38: Redemption (Salvation)
Adv. Points: 36/36

Travel Powers
Level 6: Hyper Ball
Level 35: Superjump (Rebounding Resilience)

Specializations
Constitution: Unyielding (2/2)
Constitution: Tough (2/3)
Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
Constitution: Adrenaline Rush (2/2)
Constitution: Armored (2/2)
Commander: Evasive Action (2/2)
Commander: Create An Opening (2/2)
Commander: Multitasker (1/3)
Commander: Durable (2/3)
Commander: Relief (3/3)
Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (3/3)
Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
Mastery: Commander Mastery (1/1)

Devices

I do want to keep all of the pets because they are all supposed to be toys that fight along side of him. I would be playing in support role. What do you all think? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Any particular reason for support role? I see you have AoPM, but aside from that and IDF, I'm not seeing too much support. You might get a bit more out of PRE primary rather than CON, kill the advantages on frenzy and grab rank 3 instead, and phlebotomist advantage on devour essence. If you're married to support role, could probably build something akin to the gadgeteer AT, but with less blasters

Yea, the support-ish aspects are a bit weird, and IDF isn't a toggle/form I'd usually recommend. Would also pass on using Con PSS. You could try to make it a pet-focused build, but it'd prob be easier (and less niche) to just make it a Bestial melee dps (or hyrbid-dps) build w/ a few tech powers thrown in. For example:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Melee Damage)
    v3.44:36

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Endurance (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Rockstar (Str: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 8, End: 10)
    Level 6: Paramilitary Training (Str: 3, Con: 3, Rec: 3, End: 3)
Level 9: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)
    Level 12: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 15: Bodybuilder (Str: 5, End: 5)
Level 18: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
Level 21: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Bestial Fury
Level 1: Shred (Rank 2, Penetrating Strikes)
Level 6: Aspect of the Bestial
    Level 8: Pestilence (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Supernatural Power
Level 14: Frenzy (Rank 2, Fear Sense)
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Massacre (Rank 2, Bloody Mess)
Level 23: Attack Toys (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Endorphin Rush (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 29: Miniaturization Drive (Reciprocating Gizmo)
Level 32: Pounce (Nailed to the Ground)
Level 35: Energy Shield (Rank 2)
    Level 38: Thundering Return
    Adv. Points: 32/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6: Hyper Ball
    Level 35: Jet Pack

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (2/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (1/3)
    Strength: Overpower (2/3)
    Warden: Slaughter (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Upper Hand (2/3)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
Brawler: The Glory of Battle (1/3)
    Brawler: Penetrating Strikes (2/2)
    Brawler: Ruthless (2/2)
    Brawler: Setup (2/2)
    Brawler: Flanking (3/3)
    Mastery: Warden Mastery (1/1)

I kept in the Attack Toys cause of the theme, but dropped the other pets due to the energy penalties and them not really adding that much to a dps build. For single-targets, it alternates between Shred and Massacre, and uses Frenzy as its main AoE. Could use other dps slotted passives instead (like WoTW, Unstoppable, or NW), or take the Hybrid role and something like Invuln or Regen if you want a more defensive approach (though ofc at the cost of dps). Gears mostly for Str, w/ some Con and End/Rec.
