Might Tank Critique

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some critique of my might build, hoping to one day run him against cosmics but I'm finding him not that great in alerts against groups,

You typically don't want to rank up a toggle/form like Enrage, and I'd prob also axe R3 on Resurgence, due to over-heal (and/or just get R3 Masterful Dodge for a mitigation cd). I may also use Pulverizer as the EU, though MSA can work (and MSA scales w/ Int, while Pulv scales w/ Rec). If you want to be sturdier, then you could also swap Vindicator spec for Protector, though this will lower your dps a bit. Defiance will be the better passive vs. bigger threats that deal heavier hits (and as the main tank, to assure that you keep getting hit to refresh its stacks), but Invuln will be quite better vs trash and things that dole out small/medium-sized sized hits (like in Alerts), so it can somewhat depend on what you want to prioritize. Either passive can work fine vs. Cosmics, though.

Here's an example edit, taking the Invuln option:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Tank)
    v3.43:35

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Devastator (Str: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 10, End: 8)
    Level 6: Paramilitary Training (Str: 3, Con: 3, Rec: 3, End: 3)
    Level 9: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 15: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 18: Bodybuilder (Str: 5, End: 5)
Level 21: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Clobber
Level 1: Defensive Combo (Rank 2, Pummel, Challenge!)
    Level 6: Enrage (Giant Growth)
    Level 8: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Pulverizer
Level 14: Iron Cyclone (Rank 2, Vortex Technique, Challenge!)
Level 17: Endorphin Rush (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Haymaker (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)
    Level 23: Resurgence (Rank 2)
    Level 26: Mighty Leap
    Level 29: Retaliation (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 32: Aggressor (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Head Butt
Level 38: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Commanding Presence)
    Adv. Points: 33/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6: Flight
    Level 35: Athletics

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (3/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (2/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Protector: Beacon of Hope (1/3)
    Protector: Unrelenting (1/2)
    Protector: Bulwark (2/2)
    Protector: Defensive Expertise (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Protector Mastery (1/1)

I tired to keep most of the core powers the same, though ofc you could change those up too. Gears mostly for Con, w/ some Str and Rec.

Hey Flow thanks for the updates, although I was wondering for gear wise is it better to get cost discount or increased energy?

Well, for Utility slots you typically want to first prioritize getting a +dmg% mod that boosts attacks from your main powerset (in this case, the Ripper's Rage mod for Might). Aside from that, I'd usually take a mix of cd reduction and/or cost discount for utility gear. Since you already have some melee cost discount w/ Str's Physical Peak here, I may get more cd reduction instead, unless you're still normally running into energy issues.

Running off this with a possible Heavy Weapons tank...

    Any thoughts?

You can make your own thread, it'll be better to have help on your own build.
And I don't see where's the "heavy weapon tank" part in your build?

    Clearly I did something wrong.
