So here we are with just a handful of power-sets that don't have lockbox ultimate. I know that, whatever the next one is, the devs are probably already working on it, but here are a couple ideas for remaining ones that I think would be pretty neat to see.
Infernal Supernatural: Contagion
You infect target with a vitriolic poison that spreads with contagious destruction.
This would be a single target DoT power. It would be quite a strong DoT, but the kicker is that if a target is defeated while infected, the poison spreads to enemies nearby. The effect continues up to a certain amount of times. Upon expiration, the power applies the Overpowered debuff. This would still be a useful power for bosses while making it a bigger priority on smaller mobs to help spread the damage. To help balance the potential, the power could be limited to melee range and require a decently long activation animation to begin.
Archery: Arrows of Justice
From your quiver fly forth inescapable arrows of virtue and justice!
A long range cylindrical AoE. I'm not certain how capable the power system is of doing this, but the ultimate would have 3 charges. Each charge has its own cooldown and each arrow does a lot of damage and applies a smaller version of the Overpowered debuff. This would allow archery to maintain its biggest niche, and give the power extra versatility in cases where either burst or long-time damage is needed. Alternatively if the "3 charges" idea doesn't work, you can make it into a ranged combo attack which might be a bit weird and janky, but could at least keep that trademark mobility.
Power Armor: Targeting Laser
You analyze your target with computer aided precision, revealing every last flaw in their defense.
So you know the "Paint the Target" vehicle weapon? Yeah, this is that but as a power. Basically it's a laser pointer that does no damage but decreases the opponent's resistance to all damage but a massive amount for the duration. In a sense it's a big ol' support power. What would make it viable here is that it would only take up a shoulder slot, meaning it would basically serve as a buff to your own damage in solo as well as being a huge boon to boss fights.
Just some ideas, but would be cool to see the mechanics done in-game somewhere at least.
