Hello build crew! Today I find myself with a lvl 40 that during the course of her development has become a dual passive user... gotta love a defense passive for forced team content... She currently uses Defiance as her passive and it's kind of working, not a fan of the build up nature of it, but I didn't have the spare points for invuln. I've come to enjoy the dual passive concept and would like to figure out how to make it work better... here's a concept.
Edit: posted a slightly older build...

The build is fine overall for a dual passive build, though it could maybe use an Active Defense somewhere. I assume you still aren't trying to be a formal tank when using the defensive passive, due to the lack of a Challenge adv for drawing aggro (and having a threat wipe and a self-res). I may also get Brutality maxed in Str PSS, while Juggernaut vs. Overpower just depends on how much you want a bit more dps versus a bit more defense. Also, BCR is a fine self-heal, though you'll have to be okay w/ the dmg penalty when it's up.

As it is I mostly use the defense passive for soloing some of the forced team content and the occasional time when I need to survive a bad alert situation. Most of the time I'm in dps mode and just flying through the missions... but occasionally I run into a foe I can't dps down fast enough... or find myself in the situation of being the one taking all the damage in an alert without anyone capable of aiding in the healing... As far as BCR goes... I've been using it for a while and in some missions I'm rarely without it running near endlessly.
The last two powers are just kind of space fillers... the threat wipe just because it kind of goes with Smoke Bomb Lunge... and the self rez because... why not? I only really have 2 spare points in the form of the flippin' advantage. If you've got suggestions I'm more then willing to listen.

Well, those are fine powers for the last slots; it just depends on how much mileage you'd get from them, versus any alternatives. That itself will depend on the content you run and your own experiences with it, so I can't really say myself what would be best for you there. General alternatives could be an ultimate, an AO (Imbue, basically), and/or an AD. Other more specific ones could be Nanobot Swarm, On-Next Hit powers from Gadgeteering, something like Chained Kunai that has a self-healing adv, or even an ally res depending on the content/context. Also, if using a self-res, then you may want something other than Rebirth, since it's harder to heal its self-dmg as a dps.

Hmm... I hadn't thought about the on-next hit powers as usable for melee... honestly I barely even look at the ranged sets for powers.
