Unable to write to a non-existent game in a non-existent folder on a drive that doesn't exist

I have been playing Champions fine for several months. Today, when I tried to launch it I got:

"The launcher was unable to write to directory F:/Star Trek Online-en/Star Trek Online/Live"

Problem... I haven't played Star Trek Online in years, I haven't had it installed in over a year, and I don't even HAVE a drive F: on this computer anymore.

I've tried everything I can think of... repair tool... launching directly from the folder... etc...

Any advice?

Do/did you launch your games via Arc? If so, you should double check to see if Arc still thinks STO exists on your PC.​​

Something to try.

Use run command and type in regedit.
Follow the path below and search for something that looks like Star Trek Online.
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\

Delete the registry folder associated with it or change the path if you know of an installation of Star Trek Online.

Do remember to make a backup of the registry before making any changes, as a safeguard.
