Two gun mojo less damage, close the gap bug?

so me and a couple friends noticed our 2gm does 1k less damage, we started messing around and it seemed if we got further from the target close the gap did more? but still not quite as much as we did, we used to do 4k so crits about a week or so ago, could be more, now 3k at best, get closer and it can't even 3k anymore, wondering if the way the advantage measures range is bugged. our builds haven't changed at all.
