What would be the best way to make a pet-based build?

I am thinking something along the lines of the High Evolutionary. Are there powers/devices that will let me summon animals or monsters to fight for me? So far I am thinking of maybe using the Teloisaurs from the Drifter Salvage store, but are there any other powers/devices I should keep my eyes peeled for?
