Forums Keep Logging Me Out

Why do the forums keep logging me out? It happens every month or two. It is not just that, the real problem is that every time it happens, the forums forget my computer and make me retrieve a PIN number again. It is the same computer I have used for (way too many) years. Same browser. Same everything, but this keeps happening. Anybody know what the issue is?
