Single pistol powers for a new AT

After seeing two single pistol attacks that BITE Hunters use (but we don't have access to anywhere else) I have decided to once again plead my case for single pistol powers.

Here are two attacks the hunters use that could be made into real powers.

Hunter's Shot

A new [toggle] energy builder power. It's a suitable replacement for Steady Shot and Freeform players could choose between the two. (The exaggerated recoil from Steady Shot makes the pistol end up behind the user's head after firing, which I dislike.) Since that power is already in The Soldier AT's power tree as an energy builder, this other animation could be the alternate choice.

Silver Bullet

A [tap] single shot animation, this would be the second power in the AT we receive at level 6. Advantage Points could be put into a knock effect.

Gunslinger's Legacy

A device we already have available, this animation could be turned into a real power and would be the AT's [maintain] multiple-enemy attack.

Primus soldiers also have a single pistol [charge] attack which looks just like it sounds; the soldier extends an arm and after a few seconds of charging fires one shot. This could be a single pistol alternative to Sniper Rifle, Advantage Points could add an effect to make the bullet travel through enemies in a line.

I made the argument that this would work best as a hybrid AT with a mix of ranged and melee attacks similar to The Specialist AT. Since there are now four possible powers with [toggle, tap, maintain, charge] mechanics, we could add melee equivalents as well. Clobber for the alternate [toggle] choice, a new [tap] punch with stun and interrupt secondary effects. We could make a new punching [maintain] (i'd call it Sweeping Hooks) and we could create a new charge punch or recycle an existing one (Roomsweeper/Haymaker/Uppercut).

The icing on the cake would be a single pistol Ultimate which we have dubbed Lucky Shot. This could be what Execution Shot should have been; a Munitions tap that would be medium range, do damage equivalent to Shadow Strike with 100% chance to knock enemies, and have a long cooldown afterward. The AT would do less DPS than other Munition based ATs but would be more tanky and resistant to damage due to it's hard boiled setup.

    I really would love to have a single pistol hero, but I remember Kaiserin mentioned that single pistol animations are buggy atm and there are no plans to make those new powers.

    The two powers the hunters have don't seem buggy at all, we're using them and they perform just fine. Gunslinger's Legacy is also working as it should be. Can't say the same for the Primus soldier's attacks since we don't have them to try. I am aware there aren't plans set in place, that's the point of this post, to encourage the devs to consider it.

    I'm also of mind of getting a single pistol subset, but I'm gonna need to wait until I return home on Monday to add this to my sticky, lest risk breaking bbcode in ythe post

    As for bugginess, I think it might be the case that the pistol weapon set forces 2 pistols to render for most amimastions? Then again there is the single shot eb...

    There are at least three single pistol animations we already can use that I just mentioned; Hunter's Shot, Silver Bullet, Gunslinger's Legacy. Primus soldiers have even more of them, so i'm not sure where you're getting this information from.

    Many of the dual pistol powers would work great as single pistol powers. It's just a mater of setting it up so we could have the option.

    I don't want a reskin of dual pistols, it should be it's own powerset with different mechanics. It wouldn't look or sound right to have 2 Gun Mojo and Lead Tempest's attacks coming from a single pistol animation. I don't know why so many people keep suggesting that and missing the point entirely. I want Dirty Harry/Death Wish/Sin City and dual pistols is Equilibrium/The Matrix. Quality, not quantity. The Gunslinger is set up to build stacks of Furious, this AT should have it's advantage set as being knock heavy to distinguish it from other Munitions powers. Not only that, it would be more accurate to anybody with a flintlock pistol weapon skin to fire single heavy shots.

    The animations and even powers already exist for us to use as Bite hunters and Gunslinger's Legacy device, can you think of any other powers we have access to as a become device but don't have as part of the official power pool? Even if they simply added these powers without creating a new AT i'd still be happy. And to anybody who says that wouldn't happen; Flamethrower was randomly added to Munitions without ceremony, so clearly they've done it before. There are so many existing animations for single pistol and even a bunch we can already use, since a lot of animations are recycled and made into real powers (Showdown) I see no reason why this power set shouldn't receive the same attention.
