Deleting a community thread...why?

i started a topic where i'll post images of community members and it was deleted within the first 10 minutes....why?

just simple screenshots nothing else and every person agreed to the images
*toons not rl images*

annoying thing is the topic was deleted but the ppl involved loved the pics and one has the image as his wallpaper

Did you frequently edit it? The forums usually "eat" posts that frequently get edited. It's some strange countermeasure for spam posts.

no it was literally deleted within the first 10 minutes of being added. No reason for deletion was given.

If the mods where willing to leave my jokes; Im sure they wouldnt get bovvered over some screenshots. I think its the forum phantom again!

As none of the rest of us have seen the content of said thread we couldn't possibly say why.

I suggest you mail the forum moderators to ask why.

I know I’ve tried to post and nothing and even ONE edit can delete a thread

Try recreating it and see if it is also deleted in 10 minutes.

If you are posting too many images, it could be considered spam by the forum software.

Sounds like the forums just ate it. Happens sometimes.

If you place too many images or videos in a post the forum will eat it "till it's reviewed by moderation" which could be anything between 1 day to never considering the few mods.

If you make a post with a couple of images or videos, it's succesfully posted, but try to edit it too soon (dunno the time window, to be safe wait 30 mins at least) it will get eaten too.

Also, the actual moderators can't review things "awaiting moderation". that's handled by someone at Vanilla... if it gets handled.

Well Vanilla is the guys responsible for fixing our signature image issues and it's been 8 months so... that's basically purgatory.

...so, your telling me the moderator of the first part has to wait for the moderator of the second part, in order to moderate the first part of the second parts moderation? I find this whole thing moderately confusing!

No. Posts ending up in "awaiting moderation" status is basically a bug. It doesn't involve our actual moderators at all. Kitty can calm down now o3o

I did a post my builds and the awaiting moderation appeared, took about 1 day for it to be accepted, so no worries.

Nah its all the s**t posting we do. The CO forum has become self aware and if a new thread is not full of dead overused memes the forum deletes it. Its like Skynet only 4chan.

lol, just looked back here cause all the games i wanted to play are down. Anyways it's looking like it was removed for moderation but i had no notification and the topic didnt show at all for me anywhere. Thats why i wondered why it was deleted. Guess next time i'll just wait a few days...or shoot a puppy out of a cannon till it works ^,..,^

The MOST likely answer is that it got eaten by the forum ghosts, or chomped by the automated spam blocker, not moderated.

Try it again. Just post 2 or 3 photos per post. Don't post a bunch of posts one after another rapidly. Post one, then wait a few hours, then post the next, etc. If that works, then it was one of the two things I mentioned above. If it STILL gets eaten, then send a help ticket.

Also, it is against the guidelines to post about a post that got moderated. So, if your original had been taken down by a mod, then this one would have, as well. More reason to think it was not a moderator that did it.
