Temporary Build Request For Eventual Mass Zombies Works

vorshothvorshoth Posts: 603 Arc User
So, I recently discovered that there are permanent zombie necromancy devices like Necrull's Skull in the grinderiffic Silver and Gold doodad in MC. But to get those I need to do this... Nightmare... thing.

Which is kinda hard to do with pets, as in 'okay so at level 40 I got killed in seconds against the first thing I faced, lol'

so I am willing to temporarily use 'actually good non-summon powers' to build up my stuff to eventually turn myself into a Support NECROPOLITAN EYE SCREAM SUNDAE later.

But I'm not sure how to go for this grindery scheme of mine, as it will be temporary. What's best for possibly playing on your own on the higher level content, a tank so you survive stuff, or dps so you can kill masses of enemies rapidly?

I know this is basically asking 'how do I make the most powerful build I can' but I'm looking at non-support powers here and thinking 'what is this rubbish, it doesn't even need a mountain of Presence'

I'm guessing debuffs that decrease resistances to magic like Ebon Ruin from memory are key for high level stuff, but I'm unsure where to go beyond that.

I'm a bit confused here. So you want a tanky hybrid-style build for solo, and not an actual pet build? Cause you can make such a build from practically any powerset.

I guess if you want an easy-to-use solo build you could just fall back to an Infernal SN one. Kinda like this:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform
    v2.4.2-29

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Endurance (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Chiller (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 8, End: 10)
    Level 6: Prodigy (Pre: 5, End: 5)
Level 9: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)
    Level 12: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Infernal Bolts (advantages)
Level 1: Devour Essence (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Supernatural Power
    Level 8: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Form of the Tempest (advantages)
    Level 14: Epidemic (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Will-o'-the-Wisp (Guide, Ghost Fire)
    Level 23: Masterful Dodge (advantages)
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
    Level 29: Pounce (Furious Rush)
Level 32: Ebon Void (Rank 2, Voracious Darkness)
Level 35: Thunderclap (Rank 2, Collateral Damage)
    Level 38: Rebirth (advantages)
    Adv. Points: 33/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Constitution: Unyielding (1/2)
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (3/3)
    Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
    Constitution: Adrenaline Rush (2/2)
    Constitution: Armored (2/2)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Constitution Mastery (1/1)

Uses Wisp to debuff, DE for single targets, and Epidemic for AoE. Gave you two ADs, an AoE stun in TClap, Ebon Void's VD, and Conviction to help you stay alive. lnvuln should also be good at dealing w/ trash as a slotted passive. Gears mostly for Con and Dex, w/ some End and Rec for energy.

That build makes sense to me. From memory Epidemic used to be amazing years ago, so going to give this a go, thanks flow!

Yea Epidemic is still good for an AoE. Its main drawbacks are being a pbAoE (so you have to stay relatively up-close) and it doesn't come w/ any CC options by itself. A more defensive backbone and other CC powers can help w/ those drawbacks.

I recommend an EGO/CON/Whatever Fire build with an Offensive Passive. Stack some CON, so you get decent HP, go Wardicator and stack Offense/Defense. You will pretty much mow down anything farmable in record time.
