April 6th CO becomes only surviving superhero MMO as DCUO dies, as it enters into Final Crisis and is taken offline from the server. Even with Batman still on board.

When they do (in the distant future) shut the game down, I hope we get a ragnarok-style world ending scenario. Like we fight off waves of villains, until they finally overwhelm the city.
Yup, despite the complaints CO keeps chuggin' on, while more hyped competitors fall by the wayside.
You might take comfort in the knowledge that the tabletop RPG that Champions Online is based on has been around since 1981. While it also isn't exactly taking the world by storm currently, it's still being sold and new material is still being published for it. So longevity and resiliency are in Champions' DNA.

There are some 'armored' boots you can use (default ones, even) that come up a little past the knee. You're not wrong though; the game has elbow pads--wouldn't knee pads be a logical option?
(Remember to change the material to cloth/leather if it looks better with your costume.)

If they get really crazy, they can make an online card game (like Hearthstone but with super heroes). Some people would probably get into that (not necessarily me, I don't currently play TCG's).
Congrats Champions Online and dev team! What I love about this game is I can come back and pick up where I left off from my adventures and feel at home.
If you figure out a way to increase content at level cap it would be amazing!
The amount of progress I have seen the last four years has been very good but also the game has improved so much since then. I will gladly do business with Champions Online whenever my budget allows me to splurge. Worth every penny of fun that you all provide.
To put it plainly, CO IS JUST FLATOUT BETTER than Marvel Heroes and DCUO. The combat is deeper, our costume threads are superior, power-sets are superior, travel is superior, I can go on. CO style concepts are amazing, powers are plentiful, and they seem to listen. I say CO last even after the CoX sucessors are released. You cannot go back to DCUO without feeling like something is missing.
Grats, keep up the great work. 2018 sees player created sidekicks!!! Hey, the year is still young.
It's been a honour being a part of such long run game for so many years,
Even though I'm not interested in the Super Hero genre, Champions Online is the only MMO I stayed loyal due to the amazing character costumization which still to this day I have yet to find a respectful alternative
Looking forward for more updates in 2018

Glad to see that CO has hit a major milestone in superhero MMO history.
As for Knee Pads...they do exist, even without armored boots. They are found in the Foot Accessories category. And, as you can guess by their names, they have to be unlocked. The following are knee pads:
Alien Armor Kness Pads (You might be able to find them in the AH) Kneepad Armor (Do not remember how to unlock this) Kneepad Diamond (Do not remember how to unlock this) Oni Slayer Gem (From the newest lockbox) Oni Slayer Gem Strapless (From the newest lockbox)
There might be others I have not unlocked myself. But, yeah, knee pads do exist. Unless you are talking about a more traditional looking Knee Pad, in which case, that does not exist as far as I know.
It would be necessary actually. In fact, we can still handle much stronger things with our current level so it would kind of be necessary before we could even think about a lvl cap increase.
I was on my laptop and the power selection menu looks cleaner. It may not mean anything but I noticed how they were no longer clumped together out of alignment near the edge of the borders.

I actually enjoy the style of the tabletop version. Kinda wish the combat system here was based on the tabletop also.

Lvl 40 is just fine, make more stories for those lvl 40 to face.
Not just end game. I want more lore and I want a reason to take my lvl 40 out and do mission arcs.
That would be great but not necessary.
My super cool CC build and how to use it.
